So, I am in charge of the Pack Graduation. I am knew to this and the pack has only ever done this once. So, I am looking for ideas. I know there are den moms out there who can give me some ideas and pointers. The boys who made rank received their badges at teh Blue and Gold in Feb. We also had the cross over ceremony for the Web2. But since our Tigers arent officially Wolves until June, we wanted to do something for them and the other dens

What can I do next?

We did a family/pack overnight in a local regional park. We had a big potluck picnic followed by skits and songs around the fire. Then we had a little ceremony (also around the fire) followed by s'mores, and crawled into our tents. SUPER fun but that may be more work than you want to do!

In my sons pack they do the same thing every year. We have a teepee and the boys dress up as Indians. They go into the teepee what they were the previous year and come out to the as the next step. For example, my son is a Webelo 1 this year but come graduation in May, when he steps out of the teepee he will then be a Webelo 2 The den leaders typically get the boys a gift to as in something with that has to do with their next level. The pack itself gives the boys the books for the next level. After the ceremony we have a fire and the boys cook hotdogs and make smores.

The picnic idea is a good one. One nice thing to do for the boys is to have a ceremony for each rank and give them their new neckerchiefs and slides.

Is it for Webelo 2's graduating into Boy Scouts?

We did the graduation at our Red & Blue Banquet back in February. It was mainly Web2 parents but everyone was invited to the banquet and it was really neat to see them graduating. They did a ceremony and gave each of the boys real arrows on a little board. My son loved seeing it and is really looking forward to graduating. He's just a Wolf right now so we have a couple of years to go.
