Has anyone had experience with the Crayola colored bubbles?? I found a really cool pack at Target. It came with two bottles of bubbles and three packs of different chalk for seven bucks!

My three year old decided that dumping them all over would be money better spent...then just blowing them like a normal kid. I now have bright orange goo all over my deck, cement in the garage and him...If the police came here, they would question whether or not we had a dead body somewhere..it is awful...So, now staring down the mess....I am thinking shoot its crayola...suppose to be washable...I have learn with Crayola...that doesn't always mean it will be easily cleaned...does anyone have any tips?....i cant even begin to describe how big this mess is right now!! His clothes I am not as worried about....I will keep putting them on him regardless of the personal color effects he added... I cant use bleach on the matter...and the deck...what can I use on it without ruining the stain...I have never had to clean anything like this off of anything, let alone wood.

I am going to be kicking myself for this...for a while! I think from here on out the old fashion soap bubbles will do them just fine!

What can I do next?

WARNING: They do not come off of wood....I even have looked on the site now...It is suppose to wash off skin and Concrete with soap and water...Think again...I am covered in orange...my son is covered in orange and purple!! I have emailed crayola...wont do me any good, i know. Let this be a lesson for me!!!!

Ugh! I hear you! My sister just bought all 3 of my kids these on Wednesday...my deck is currently 'Jackson Polluck'ed' in blue, green and orange! It did rain last night and some of it lightened but its still there...we are getting a new deck this summer so I am so not gonna worry about it....but I suggest just some hot soapy water...try a test spot to make sure it doesn't do any more damage first though. Good Luck!

~Those bubbles were STUPID! And they are SO thick...what a MESS they were, so NOT a good idea, except maybe in the summer while in bathing suits and ONLY on the grass! I made sure to send Auntie a picture and a great big 'Thanks sis'!!

Wish i had time myself right now to look for you but i bet if you go to the crayola website or even goggle crayola bubbles or what ever they are called, you will find a ton of advice.

I'm wondering for the deck if something like oxi-clean would work. hmm as for him, i'm thinking a long long soak in the tub. would babyoil do anything to soften the skin and get some of it off??

yikes good luck, I loved the commercial for these but have not heard one good thing about them.

We just opened a bottle today too. On the back it says to use a pressure washer on concrete. You might try water, a little dawn, and just work on it a bit.

Gymboree makes awesome bubbles for any more bubble adventures.

Uck. Grammy gave those to my 3 year old for Christmas. NEVER AGAIN. The bubbles popped on the house and the aluminum siding is covered in blue splotches. Horrible.
Good luck getting it cleaned up!

I've heard nothing but bad news from the color bubbles. I think if you google crayola color bubbles as an image search, you'll see some pretty gruesome pictures.

I agree with V.M. though, you might have to do a search and/or email crayola and see what they suggest. Good luck!

Found this on their website, maybe it will help???

Surface
unfinished wood (untreated/raw)
Materials
· Paper towels
· OxiClean® cleaner
· Scrub Brush
· Soft Scrub® (mild abrasive cleanser)
· Liquid dish soap (preferred: Dawn or Joy)
Procedure
Wipe excess bubbles off the stained surface with paper towels. Make a solution of liquid dish
soap and water and apply to the stained area. Use a scrub brush in a circular motion to work
the stain. Wipe with paper towels and allow the area to dry. Repeat as needed.

HAHAHA OH NOOOO!! It's not just coming off with water from the garden hose? Maybe dish soap and a scrub brush? Get the boys out there and let them scrub a dub... I could definately see them making a bigger, soapier mess of themselves, but they'd have fun and it's worth a shot ;) Good luck!

My hubby bought them and pretty much the same thing happened to us. Our deck is stained in areas. The color did come out of the clothing-no problem, but our hands were stained for a few days and the deck-well, that is another story. I guess a pressure washer might work.

I ended up dumping the rest of the jar in a very very large gallon size of bubbles and it turned the bubbles mixture pink and my daughter loves that just enough. The bubbles aren't pink, but oh well.

Never again.....I cursed my husband for days. :-)

Our newcast had a story on those last night and how hard it is to clean up.

People are mad as heck, rightly so, because it stains decking, concrete, and everything it touches. Crayola has a response which says to use it on the grass, wear old clothes, and over time the stain will go away from the decking, BLAH...

It says they are washable use your garden hose to rinse off the bubbles it'll take a while to get all the suds off,if you have to get down & use a scrub brush or a broom of some sort while your rinsing just keep going over & over it.Maybe you have already done so but get whatever is on the garage floor up or hubby will have a heartattack if it gets wet/damaged.I have learned my lesson not to buy expensive bubbles it ends up dumped out no matter what.

That is such a bummer. You could try pressure washing carefully to get it off the surface. If you have stain it'll take the stain up. If it's time to restain then I would pressure wash the entire deck. Doing that has worked better than stripping the wood.

That said, I have to thank you for posting this. I've been curious about them and the kids want them. I didn't get them the bubbles for Easter and now I'm so thankful. My son plays with bubbles for a while and then loves to dump the rest out...which he did on our brand new unstained deck. Thank goodness they weren't colored bubbles! I will scratch this off the list for good. =)
