Hi Mamas. My DH and I have been trying to conceive for quite a while now. I have been seeing a fertility doctor and an endocrinologist. Last month I had a test done to make sure my tubes and ovaries were good. They were perfect! (Always nice to hear). Fast forward to this month, my cycle was supposed to start on the 9th, but didn't come. The only time I have ever missed a period in my life is when I was on birth control and I haven't been on birth control in almost 4 years. Late on the 10th I got some cramping and then just a small amount of light brown discharge (sorry I know it's icky) when I wiped and nothing since. My boobs have been period time sore, but nothing major and my husband complained to me that I have had a shorter temper. I took two HPT. One on the 7th, because I was feeling so tired for no reason and it was negative. I took one on the 9th and it was also negative. I don't really feel pregnant. But the lack of a period has me thinking. I am heavy set. Is there any one out there who had symptoms like this? Were you pregnant or not? I don't have any pain or anything like that. I am going to make a doctors appointment in the morning, but I don't want to get all excited just to find out that it was nothing...
I took another HPT this morning and I got a faint positive! I have an appointment on monday to figure out if it is right or not! My husband was tested when we started this all and he is fine. He also has two healthy 4 year olds that can vouch for the fact that he is able. :) Thanks for all the responses. I will edit again if I am pregnant or if something else is going on.
That's how I felt both times I was pregnant, a tiny bit of spotting, but really hurt-y boobs, moody as all get out, etc. You were only due 3 days ago so the HPT level may not be high enough to show on a test yet. Try to relax & re-test next week.
I know its hard to wait, but I sometimes feel the same when my period is late. I also know that for some people pregnancy tests don't show positive until they are past 3 months pregnant (my cousin always had negative tests until the 2nd trimester). I am sorry that it has been a long struggle for you and your husband.
From your question I am assuming that you had a HSG done and I will say that I got pregnant immediately after having that done. Everything came back ok on that test, but it must have cleared something out of the way for me.
You may be one of the ones that get a later BFP, so it is possible, but going to the doctor to figure out what is going on is your best bet.
