You have been soooo stressed over money and your BF not working, planning a wedding is the last thing you need to do right now. You already stated that your parents will NOT be paying for it.

It's NOT about the "wedding" it's the MARRIAGE. Seriously - go to the Justice of the Peace, then when he is gainfully employed again and you have the money - do the "wedding thing"...

I know you want the fairy tale...everyone does. But trust me - as the girl who's had two "weddings" the best was my second one - my first was HUGE - 200 people, the works. My second one? 40 people- including the a'cappela group. It was intimate and fun!!! Instead of having a "wedding" celebrate with a HUGE party at your house - again - it's not about the wedding - it's about the marriage!!

Also - send me your man's resume again - he didn't call me back and I have new openings.

R., as someone else pointed out, planning a wedding can become a "cash-cow" before you even realize it! So be careful as you begin to look at all the sites the others have recommended. They are great sites but you can also begin to make you want more an more things that can drive up the budget.
The first thing you need to do is create a REALISTIC budget on what you can and are willing to spend on your wedding. That will also help to determine the size of your wedding party and guest list.
A beautiful, special and memorable wedding can be planned on just about any budget with a few tricks, some do-it-yourself (DIY) options and help from trusted friends and/or vendors. You can get a lot of information on those wedding sites that were suggested for cost-effective planning. Many brides often sell their wedding supplies at great prices on the wedding forums and Craigslist.
I am a wedding planner in Maryland and of course, I'd be happy to provide you some more information offline but ultimately, it is more about your future life together than one day.
