Bug Bites? - Plano,TX

My 3-year old son woke up this morning with weird pimple looking spots on his palms and knees. I am puzzled! It's red spots with white tips, exactly like pimples. They do not itch or spread. We do not have pets or any allergies. Did anyone have similar experience? Please share. We’ll probably go to the doctor tomorrow if they don’t disappear, just to be on the safe side.

What can I do next?

Could be staph infection. My daughter had that recently, but the pimples were not where your son has them. If that's the case, a round of antibiotics and he'll soon be alright.

Sounds like hand, foot and mouth disease. I'd get him checked.

this same thing happened to my daughter. we took them to the park and she was playing over in the grass and thought nothing of it.
it wasn't until the next morning when we saw that her hands were all bitten (same exact way - red with white pimple thing).
the doctor said they were fire ant bites and that not to pop the white part.
i put some homeopathic cream called "florasone cream" for the itching because it was bothering her real bad.
i think you can use cortisone cream if you have it or calamine lotion too. but i didn't use that because they bites we only on hands and she eats with her hands sometimes and i was afraid she might ingest some.
it took 3 weeks for her hands to return to normal and even after that i was worried about scarring. but they are ok now. just be very gentle with your son's sores because they are painful. i ended up getting bit too later. and it's awful.
i found out that talc powder if put on before going outside will avoid being bit.
or you can use insect repellant.

Hve you checked for fire ants? Maybe he kneeled in some. Tea tree oil is excellent when applied immediately for future reference.
