My sister is getting married this September and is looking for a gown. Anyone have any suggestions where to look that has a good selection? Places to avoid?

TIA

Hello,

I was a wedding planner for a hotel for 5 years and recently started on my own. After planning my own wedding, as well as my sister's, I have had amazing experiences with Amari Bridal in Franklin, MA. They were so accommodating and great to work with!
I would suggest them above all for customer service! They have website. Ask to speak to Kate.
On the other hand, stay away from Terri's Bridal in Norwood. I was in a wedding for my cousin last summer and she got the bridesmaid dresses there. They all came back a week before the wedding with the wrong measurements and they charged us to fix thier mistakes! I also had a bride who went through a similar problem there. Terrible customer service!
Good luck!

M.

Try La Sposa Bridal in Newton. They were great, small place but really helpful people. Did great alternations for my out of state maid of honor- the dress fit her perfectly.
Avoid La Lune in Belmont. They treated me terribly-ignored me completely when I went in. Perhaps it because I went in alone, not with an entourage. Too snobbish for me.

I'm not sure where you live but my friend works at Amari Bridal, 391 E Central St, Franklin, MA 02038 ###-###-####. If you don't live near Franklin make a day out of it and head down to the Wrenthan Outlets. She quit her corporate job and started working there. Since she's worked there I have sent 4 people and they all were able to find a dress, bridal party & mother of the bride. Good luck.

Allegria in Belmont (on the Watertown line)- they are so nice. And Vows in Newton - they have a huge selection.

Hi H.,

I got married a year and a half ago and I went to a tiny hole in the wall Bridal store called Bridesmaid Galleria. It is located in a hotel (Marriot courtyard I think). It is in Peabody right off of 128 on Rte 1 South.

The woman that owns the shop is wonderful and very accomidating. I had 7 woman in my bridal party and we were able to find a dress that looked fatastic on everyone and was not crazy expensive.
Here is the website: http://bridesmaidsgalleria.com/index.html

Good luck !!
