i am on the birth control pill lo/ovral. HAs anybody tried it? could it be making me gain the weight? im wondering if i should stop taking it?
It could be making you gain weight. That is often a side effect from birth control.. I gained about ten pounds when I went on a different birth control several years ago. Call your doctor and see if there is any way to switch. There are so many different types now.
I was on this pill and it did make me gain weight. This is one of the main reasons I got switched off of it.
I would say most likely. That was the 1st pill I was on and gained weight from it. everyone is different though. That was the only side effect that I had from it. All the others that I had been on made me sick. So I went back to it.
I'm on lo/ovral and this is my first month but I haven't noticed any weight gain. Actually, a family member said it looked like I lost some weight. I know weight gain could be a side effect to any birth control pill but the reason I chose this one is because it wasn't as prevalent.

all brith control pills have the weight gain sideeffect. It's only about ten pounds and its becuase of hormonal changes. I wouldn't suggest changing to a diffrent dosage becuase it may cuase you to have other side effects. If its not making you sick or moody then stick with it.
