What brand tennis shoes are best for this age? I have tried many brands. Many of which have a very thick sole that makes her walk funny. Some such as Keds are not wide enough for her chubby foot. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks!

I agree Stride Rite is the place. They measure the foot and make sure the shoe fits exactly.

Ones that fit and don't make her trip are going to be the best for his foot. It sounds like she's a wide so I would recommend heading to Stride Rite or Nordstroms where someone can help you find the right shoe for her.

My son also has a very wide foot and we have found that Stride Rite and New Balance are our two best bets for good shoes that fit him well and let his foot be supported! I know that sometimes those can get a little pricey, but they last! I just let my friend borrow my son's first pair of walking shoes from New Balance, and she asked if he had ever even worn them as they looked so good! We get our New Balance at the New Balance store and Stride Rite does have outlet stores (in Grapevine and Allen are two that I know of!)!! Hope that helps!
