I am 38 weeks pregnant and am looking for a space saving heater that I can use in our bathroom during bath time. Our bathroom gets pretty cold in the winter time and especially at night (when we're usually doing our baths). My 3 yr old son fares ok with this as long as we get his pajamas on right away afterwards, we make sure to blow dry his hair, and we run the water for a few minutes to "steam up the bathroom" but I am concerned at how well the baby will like it when it's bath time. i do have a bathtub for the baby that you can have warm water inside the incline that it's laying on so that will help but still wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what I can use for this purpose. Of course, looking for as many safety features as possible, ability to warm a small area quickly, and being able to fit it in our storage drawer in our under the vanity drawer. I need something that's around the dimensions of 6" wide x 6" deep x 8" tall. We can accommodate for something that's a little larger than this but just need it to fit in a drawer when we're done with it. Anyone know of a small space heater that comes closest to these requirements?

It's small, but heats up the bathroom very quickly.
I would use the baby bathtub in the kitchen sink. That is where I always bathed the babies when it was winter and they were tiny. It was just warmer and easier to stand to bathe them instead of leaning over the edge of the tub.
Otherwise Walmart has small ceramic heaters that are very efficient for heating a bathroom. I think they run about $15. If that is not big enough then the radiator style that is free standing is very good for heating a small room. We have one in the enclosed deck where all the gemstone cutting equipment is. It keeps the room comfortable but not hot. The only thing to watch out for is leaning against it or clothes getting against the sides.

I was at Walmart yesterday looking for space heaters. There are TONS in their hardware section (near the tires, where they sell air filters, bathroom fixtures). Many are small - you can measure the box to be sure. Some large ones were $30 and $40 so I would guess the small ones are even cheaper. Go look. Plenty of choices at Walmart.
I got one about that size at target a few years ago. Most of them have safety features where they shut off if they fall over. I've been very happy with mine.

We have a Sunbeam heater from Walmart that cost less than $20. It has a Hi or Lo setting and you can set it to blow until the air temp reaches between 60-80 degrees and it will turn off when it reaches that temp and turn back on when the air temp falls below it. We use it all the time in our bathroom in the winter!! Good Luck!
Whatever you do, don't get one that heats w/ oil. A neighbor down the road had one (reputable name brand) and it overheated and the oil went everywhere and their house burnt down. She said they were lucky to get out w/ the clothes n their back.
