Do it!! It was my grandmothers dream, too, so they did it for their 50th and she had the kids & grandkids stand up as her attendants. They had a professional photographer and a reception after in the fellowship hall. It was 10 years ago and she still has all of the little momentos all over the house, photos, cards, cake topper, everything. She doesnt regret it one bit and I believe it is one of her most cherished memories.

It's never too late! I say:
Get yourself a beautiful dress, send out the invitations and go for the big wedding and forget the big reception! Have cake and punch at the church. This is YOUR day... not anyone elses! Dont forget to go to the spa and get a nice massage & your hair & makeup done. You'll only get married once! :)hehehe

I think a 25 year anniversary is a perfect time for a wedding! Pick an elegant and sophisticated dress, a great tux for your hubby, and renew those vows! Have your kids stand in as attendants. Invite the whole town to witness the ceremony, and then reserve a great restaurant private room for an intimate reception for just the closest friends and family. Instead of gifts, have a great charity chosen for people to donate to in your honor.

Do it all! DO everything you've always wanted-you've waited this long so you deserve it! This will probably be what I will do one day...my hubby and I were married 5 yrs ago in Germany-sitting down at a justice of the peace type of ceremony in germany. After we were hitched we kept saying at our 5yr anniversary we'd have a renewal of the vows...hasn't happened yet-but I will get my wedding one day! Good luck and I hope it's all you ever envisioned.

Hi P., we only live once, do what your heart desires, this is for you not them, I think its great, and it sounds like a party, and I like party, most people do, only have those around you that are positive and in agreement with your heart to plan and make it all happen, which may be only a few. But you can bet they'll all be at the reception :) Blessings.

I think you should go all out! Have your dream and love every moment. Who cares what others think you are the one who has to live your life not them. If your dream wedding makes you happy then go for it. It won't cause any harm to get dressed up and tell the man you love after 25 years you still want to be his wife. I think it is wonderful and congrats on 25 years. May you have another 25 to cherish.

I think that if you really want to have the wedding, then you should do it! You only live once, right! Good luck and have a ball no matter what you decide.

Congratulations on 25 years. I am just about to break 4! I just recently shot a wedding for a couple who have been married 50 years. Before the wedding, they both gave a little history of how they met. Their grandchildren were in the wedding. It was a really beautiful thing. You should do it so that you don't regret it ever in the future. No matter what you do somebody is going to talk about you. My pastor always says, if nobody is talking about you, you aren't doing anything!!!! Good luck and God bless you even more than he already has and call or email me if you need your wedding videotaped. :) www.southfieldvideo.com
