Bahahahaha?

I am confused as to when the written form of laughing got a B added to it.

How is it read or how does it sound in your head
to M.
its either
Bloody hahahahha
or boohahahahaha
or bullocks! hahaha
The B has to stand for something right?
Or do people really laugh with a B sound now and this is merely making the written form correct?

Also what is
CTFU
is it cut the F up?
or
Cu%t the F up?

I'm confused I always thought it was STFU for Shut the front door=)

What can I do next?

Well, I use 'bwah-ha-ha' sometimes. I hear it phonetically "BWAH!HA!HA!" Absolute silliness, as opposed to Mwah-ha-ha, which is Evil Genius circa 1960s.
but honestly, the thread on this post is really funny!

I like how Riley does her <<<grin>>> thing, makes M. think of the joker. Or the Cheshire Cat.

My sister says ~cackle~, which is also amusing.

BAH-hahahaha! It's very effective though, isn't it? Like a Spit Scene. Or Milk Out The Nose.

Bwah- is the start.. and it's indicative of a burst of laughter. It could also be Pwah-. It shows that the laughter is either bursting, or coming midsentence because of a lingual stop with both lips together... instead of mouth thrown open for Ha.

Mwah - is evil maniacle laugher

B - Burst
M - Maniacle

Doesn't stand for them, J. works out nicely.

Snickering, though, doesn't type out well... so I personally J. write the word. Like I do with grinning! <grin> Or ::blushes:: Or !Headsmack!

My son has gotten M. hooked on asian emoticons, lately, though.

XD (laughing so hard your eyes are shut... the only vertical tip your head to see it one)

It's a laughter rating system

:) = mildly funny
HaHa = a little better than mildly funny
LOL = fairly funny
LMAO = pretty funny
Bahahaha = surprisingly really funny
ROFL = Really, Really funny
ROFLMFAO = F(#*ing HILARIOUS

I always thought the b in front of haha meant it surprised a laugh out of someone.

For M., bahahahahahhahaha is pronounced bah ah ha hahahahahhahah. Mwahahahahhaha is mwah ahahahahaha, it is a maniacal laughter. Bahahahaha is J. something funnier than ahahahahahhaha.

And yeah, my a s and h s don't always match up. Oh well. :)

You are on your own with CTFU.

Yeah if I say laugh out loud I really did, and I don't LOL. I hate when people use LOL or the like to pretty much say, funny.

hahaha is like a chuckle or laugh where bahhahaha is like a boisterous laugh. Also I think ha ha ha has developed a sort of disingenuous and sarcastic connotation, so a need for a more genuine laugh word was needed. I read it as a laugh that starts before you can even open your mouth. So yes, sort of a B sound.

It's supposed to sound exactly like it's typed "bahahahaha".

The 'b' stands for the initial explosion of laughter.

Don't know what CTFU is, haven't seen that.

I like this inane Seinfeld-style discussion. I always thought the evil laugh was 'Mmwah ha ha ha ha !'.

I always read it as kind of an explosive laugh, so you make an initial "Bwa" sound.

I have no idea the second one. I'm sure if you googled, urbandictionary.com could help.

I don't think the B stands for anything -- it's to represent the explosive sound laughter starts with when you're trying really hard not to laugh or when your laughter is so spontaneous and explosive.
As for the C, hmmm....

I think it's how you distinguish a normal laugh from an evil/sinister laugh, in the internet world. Kind of like ROTFL. We don't really roll on the floor laughing, do we?!

Ok, I think the other ladies have pretty well covered the Bahahahahaha being an unexpected burst of laughter, akin to spitting your drink (or the lesser known cousin, a REAL laugh vs. the ha ha ha sarcastic one).

But I have not seen the Mwah ha ha ha they mention. What I HAVE seen, is "Buwahahahaha"... the same evil, sinister laugh they ascribed to "mwah" (which I think of as a kissing sound).

The "bah" or "bwah" comes from the beverage that gets spit out of your mouth when you unexpectedly burst into laughter. At least that's the sound *I* make when that happens...

"Bahahaha" to M. means that someone is busting out laughing, like it caught them off guard or they had a drink in their mouth when they read something and the "B" is the part that caught them off guard.
