Hi moms, At what age did you stop the jumperoo? Our son will be 10 months in 6 days and is 21 lbs and makes a god-awful racket in his, though to be fair it seems like this particular one (Fisher Price's Laugh & Learn farm theme jumperoo with the red barn arch) seems to make a TON of noise. He is crawling and into everything and am looking for a safe place to contain him for 15 mins or so while i prepare food or try to do dishes. THANKS!
I seem to recall the manual stating that they shouldn't be flat foot in the jumparoo. So I suppose if you are on the highest setting and baby is flat foot, it is time to stop using it.
I would be worried that he is to tall for the jumperoo, how about containing him in a high chair?
My son is older than yours and we still use it. I read somewhere that whenever you use a walker or bouncer the kid's feet should always be flat footed so that it doesn't put pressure on their femoral artery with their legs dangling from the seat or on toes, unable to relieve the pressure point.
I use the Jumperoo, high chair with seat straps, and a pack n play to keep him occupied. We also have converted our dining room into a playroom using baby gates on the doorways too. So he has somewhere I can put him and the other kids so they can play, watch a movie, etc. while I'm cooking dinner. Usually they come and go, but if I'm using the oven, I'll close the gate...that way they can see and hear me, but not get into trouble.
It's more of a weight thing than an age thing I think. Check to see what the weight limit is on the FP jumperoo.
Sounds like it's time for a play pen or one of those corral things. Whatever they use now.
How about trying a Pack-N-Play (Playpen)??? I used one with my son who is 11 and my daughter who is now 15 months. Good luck!!!
We stopped using it when they lost interest. I would keep using it as long as it works, because soon he will realize he's stuck and will want more freedom.
I don't think there is an age, I would look at the maximum weight for the one you have. If he is still Ok in there, and he likes it, let him go and you can get some work done. At least you can monitor him by the noise!

I have the same jumperoo, and my daughter is also 10 months, 24 lbs, crawling and standing. She does makes ALOT of racket, but its only on the 3rd setting for height, it still has #4, and it says on it to discontinue when they crawl out, which she has yet to attempt. If, like a previous poster stated her child does, he topples it, for sure its time, otherwise, I think its ok , as it seems like it is actually quite sturdy, it just doesnt sound like it. My daughter can jump for 45 min- to an hour, and just loves it, tho she pauses to play and then jumps again.
By 7 months my son was too strong, for his. He would jump so hard the thing would topple. I then put him in a high chair near me with some trucks and snacks.
