So my daughter is in 4th grade and I'm considering the BETA club for her. I'm researching the web site and it looks like there is not a lot of information there about the program, what happens in the club and the mission statement is very vague and broad.
I'm wondering if any of you wonderful moms and dads have any experience with this club or are familiar with it? Achievement, character, leadership & service all sound like values we hold as well and I'd love for my 4th grader to get involved.

Can't you just contact the current members at your daughter's school? Usually clubs love to invite prospective new members to join their meetings and activities. That's really the only way you're going to know if it's a good fit.
And if your school doesn't have a BETA group in place you realize you'll need to start one right? I think it's a minimum five members.
It was a high school level club back in the day - has it seriously gotten into elementary?
Where we are, BETA is by invitation only, based upon academic performance primarily. JR BETA begins in 7th grade (if 6th grade academic scores meet the requirements for membership). BETA membership is for high school ages. And again, academic score driven, by invitation only. It's an honor.
My daughter has been in it, and they do fundraising for various charities, and they promote leadership.
I was in Beta in junior high (back in the days of yore before it was called middle school) and high school.
It's an honor society by invitation based on grades.
We honestly didn't actually DO much of anything, but it looked good on a college application to have been a member.
