There's Cafe Mom... I used that site for a while, however, many of the posters there are pretty hardcore about their parenting beliefs. Mamapedia was a bit more civil than what I observed on the other site, esp. if you post within a list of a certain parenting style--some people are pretty specific and dogmatic and VERY outspoken.

I came to Mamapedia after being yelled at for the millionth time on CafeMom.
Women on there do NOT know how to be nice! I wouldn't advice for you to even bother with it. Every question ends up a debate. And you'll get beaten down with their "right" way. They're all very immature over there.

Not that I know of. The only one that you may want to google is cafemom.com or something similar. I can't remember the exact title. Sorry!

I know there is an question forum on babycenter.com... but I have never used it.... I'm not sure how 'developed' the community is or how easy it is to use...

I have tried the other ones the respondents mentioned below... I did not like it/the format/the visuals/the use of it.

Mamapedia is heavily moderated, so people tend to be nice on here.
Yahooanswers is actually pretty good, if you can trawl through the 10 year old kid answers, it is unmoderated, so people can say anything, and do.
Cafemom, I like pretty good too.

But really, there is nothing as good as mamapedia!

I have tried cafemom and I was overwhelmed with the format so I prefer this site to it. I use babycenter for specific forums that are targeted to situations in which my family is in. For general question/answers/etc. I prefer mamapedia.
