We bought an Aquadoodle mat, but I can't find any extra pens or paintbrush sets. I saw on-line somewhere that someone used a sponge, paintbrush, or roller and a small glass of water. Of course there is the problem of spilled water, but I was just wondering if this would work or if anyone has seen the extra pen or paintbrush set anywhere?

Thank you all so much! We'll be on the look out for the aquadoodle pens and any other paintbrushes, sponges, etc...glad to know both kids will be able to play right away when we open it since all we need is water!
I'm sure it'll work b/c my son used his wet toothbrush on his aquadoodle mat! LOL! They sell extra sets at Wal Mart and Target and they are only $4-$5. I honestly would spring for the extra sets than have to pick up spilled water every time they play. FYI - I was just at the Walmart in Elgin off of Randall and they had sets there. . .hope this helps.

We just bought an Aquadoodle mat for our twin sons for Christmas. Because it only comes with one pen, we knew we had to find more!! We also couldn't find any in the stores, so we went to amazon.com and bought a set which includes a pen and "brush" (looks like a sponge).
Hoping our boys will love this toy!
Oh those damn pens! We've lost several either via the Bermuda Triangle in our house or the dog who loves to chew on them!
Little paint brushes/rollers AND q-tips work as well.
I am always on the lookout for extra pens and hardly ever find them. So, if you do see them get a couple sets, if not, enjoy the paint brushes and rollers and q-tips!

You can use anything on Aquadoodle that gets the mat wet. Deoesn't have to be anything special. The pens it comes with are just less mess to deal with. You could buy one of those sponge tip things that you use to wet stamps. Just an idea.

i got the pens at either Walmart or Target.
You can use anything with just water on it!! my kids used to dip their hands in water, and flick the water on it to make designs!!
