I'm just looking for a reasonably-priced, GOOD dry cleaner/tailor near my home. I'm on the west side of Elgin, near 20 & McLean.

You're in the right spot then! The best dry cleaner is located at Lillian and McLean (between Rt 20 and Lillian on east side of McLean). Elgin One Hour Cleansers, 315 S McLean). They have very convenient hours, and they are friendly, nice, hard working people.

Elgin One Hour is the BEST! They have NEVER lost any clothing, missed a stain or failed to deliver! Plus they take checks!
My husband takes his stuff to College Green Cleaners on Mclean. They are cheap and he has also had some pants tailored there.
We love Liz Cleaners on Randall Rd. in South Elgin. We live in Elgin too and find its worth the few min. drive. They are in the same strip mall as Jewel (across from the Kohls, TJ Maxx). We have yet to have a mistake, etc. happen there. They are prompt, somewhat reasonably-priced, on most things and quite friendly. They may even accept competitor coupons. Good luck! M.
Can't think of the name off the top of my head but we use the one on Chicago Street in the little strip mall west of the Dairy Queen (intersection of Chicago and Union) - I do LOVE them.
I have gone to College Green Cleaners which is just south of 20 on Mclean. They are really quick and not too expensive! Hope this helps!

My aunt and uncle now live in Geneva and still got to the dry cleaner in Elgin in the Dairy Queen strip nerar S. Union on Chicago street. Its the only place they'll go.
