W.,

There is a small park in Oakland Park, on the outskirts of Ft. Lauderdale that you could check out. It is close to the interstate and just minutes to everything. I use to live close to it. It is called Easterlin Park, it is located in 38th Street in Oakland Park.

Good Luck.

Markham is great, but it is way out west. CB Smith is better in that it is closer to I95. But if you want to be really close to Ft. Lauderdale the best is Easterlin. Plus each camp spot is really private. Each one is surrounded by plants and they are really conducive to privacy. Plus there is a dog park right across the street that is wonderful. If you are looking for a park though that the kids can really play at more then CBSmith might be better. For mor information go here and check them out:

Hi-I live in Sunrise and I highly recommend Markham Park and CB Smith Park. Both are located in nice areas near plenty of shops & stores. Both are located of off of I-75.They both have grocery stores, malls, movie theatres all around the area. CB Smith has a water park and it's always a good time here in Florida for water activities. I feel that Markham is more of a camping park as it has the mountain bike/hiking trails, the canoes/wave runners & the night time observatory. I live down the street from Markham and occasionally we pull our RV for some weekend fun. Check out the link: http://www.broward.org/parks/camping.htm
