Any Information About Why a Bunch of Questions Were Removed?

Good Monday morning to everyone! This question is not high-priority, just something which struck me. At least 4 questions were removed over this weekend, presumably by the moderator. 2 of them which I could see in my 'digest message' clearly were incomplete and should have been removed, 2 were legitimate, full questions from someone in an abusive relationships and it's unclear to me why those were removed. Anyone happen to know what might have happened with those? Thanks and have a lovely day!

So What Happened?

Thanks folks! I didn't realize that people can remove questions themselves by deleting their accounts; I assumed that the only way a question vanishes is when the moderator deletes it. Now that I understand the poster could have removed it, it all makes sense. Gosh, I hope it is possibility 2 that Diane listed, not 3... Anyway, happy Monday afternoons!

ETA: Based on what Wild Woman wrote, it now seems like the posts disappeared because the poster asked the moderator to delete them. I'm sending good wishes into the ether for the well-being of the poster and her family. Thank you all!

She was hoping (in her 2nd question) that abusive husbands could change, and I don't think anyone had any stories where they had. I'm sure that was really discouraging.

I don't know what the other 2 questions were.

ETA - if someone closes their account - their messages/posts DO NOT disappear.

there are several ways this can happen.

1. the OP (original poster) decides they no longer want their post up - so they "Report" it and ask the moderators to take it down.

2. More than a few people reported the post(s) as troll or spam - and the moderators removed it.

As to #2 - I don't know why someone would do that - they didn't seem like a troll to me.

i was wondering that too.

i didn't realize that deleting your account removed the questions! i thought only mods could do that.
