A New Kitten!

Gus is adorable.
For some reason, Basil always sounded like a cute kitty name to me (dunno why).
If you want to go with his coloring, maybe Shadow.

Ask your kids to pick the name...first thing that comes to their mind!

PS: I tried to tell DD that a little kitten needs a name, and her suggestion was Mmmeeeoooowwww!!
PS2: DD is 19 mos old! :)

Well you can't use Stinky Hoosier III because my daughter already named our poor cat that! :p

I love looking around the area for something significant. Like where was the kitten from? street? weather? personality? temp that day? Movie you just watched? book you just read? it helps you remember when the cat is like 20, how you got that name.

My girls named our cat Pickles cause he tried to eat a pickle the day we brought him home....
I just had two baby guinea pigs born yesterday, and they named them Beans and Pepperoni since my son ate green beans and threw them all over the room and on them, and I made homemade Pepperoni pizza.

Before Pickles, we had 4 cats. Noodles, Gideon, Izabrat, and Menace B. Pibb.

White paws usually get called Socks or Boots. AVOID! (kidding)

I like Fergus...if he turns out to be "she" you can call her Ferggi.

How about Tippy or Tipper since his "tips" (nose/paws) are tipped with white?

My daughter brought home a little one similar to yours last October and all she could talk about was her "Baby Kitty" (she's 16)...so it stuck, he's now called Baby Kitty, I call him BK for short, or Bubba...he's a total trip, plays fetch for hours!! Loves his little mousies and has stuffed animals he'll pick up and carry around like a lion who's just killed his prey...funniest cat I've ever owned...
