Hello Ladies,
I have decided to go with the Abby Cadabby Theme for my almost 2 year old daughter. I have everything set as far as cake, balloons and gift bags for the girls (tiara, wand, stickers, rings, lipgloss). HOWEVER, I'm having a hard time figuring out what to do with the boys. Any ideas?
Thanks!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you ladies, i was trying not to go with Elmo but I found great stuff that has both,Abby and Elmo. I wanted to have a girly party since her 1st birthday was very neutral -monkeys. She loves to wear tutus and run around with a wand so Abby fits her great. I do not have to worry about small children as my daughter is the youngest of the crowd, all other kids are 4 to 10. Thanks again for the suggestions!

could you get the boys 'the count' stuff - since he's also sesame street, but more boy oriented. you could do capes, wand etc. Or since she's elmo's friend do elmo themed stuff for the boys.

Or, if not..... little nascar cars, sponge bob stickers, batman rings etc.

good luck!

I'd pick another Sesame Street character. Elmo is popular but there are others like Cookie Monster, Oscar, Grover, Baby Bear. There is a great book with Grover called The Monster at the End of this Book and a second one with Grover and Elmo. My son loved this book at ages 3-4. My daughter is also 2 and I am not sure about rings or lip gloss for the under 3 crowd (choking issues). My daughter loves to play with beads and bracelets though.

You can get matchbox cars for $1, stickers are always fun. I love the idea of going with the count or elmo.
Certainly not criticizing your idea of girly stuff for girls and boy stuff for boys, but it might be easier for you next time if you do gender neutral stuff. Example: everyone gets a small box of crayons, or a snowman mug (assuming it's a winter birthday).

I agree that the boys would have fun wearing capes and being the Count. But Elmo stuff is more prominent in the stores as far as plates/stickers go. Maybe something Cookie Monster oriented?
