Pregnancy and Swine Flu

Hi Moms, I am freaking out and need some advice.....I am a teacher in a school who has AT LEAST 2 confirmed cases of Swine Flu. My issue is I am 7 months pregnant, can't find a vaccine anywhere to save my life, AND...I work in a modular unit with only 4 classrooms, and that is where the kids have it are. So, my work told me about the situation and then left it up to me. The doctor says to take a few days off, which I did. But, now the situation is not getting better...more kids in the modulars are out, and I have no way of knowing if...

Super Fine Hair, What Kind of Rubber Bands?!

My little girl has just turned one and finally has enough hair to make one of those little baby pony tails on the top of her head. She has super fine hair and I am concerned about what kind of pony tail holder or rubber band do you use that is small enough for a baby, but will still do its job of holding the hair and not damage it? Other moms, please give me some ideas! Thanks!

Five Month Old with Ear Infection

My son is five months with an ear infection. He's been on Zithromax since Tuesday and he has just been crying and crying and sleeping for only 30 minutes at a time, his doctor called in ear drops to numb the pain last night and those didn't make too much of a difference, has anyone else experienced this with their babies? I feel so bad for him and it just seems like there has to be something more wrong but his doctor said there isn't and the Zithromax will just have to kick in.

2 Year Old with Broken Leg ... Help?!?

Last night I received a phone call from my son's child care. Apparently he tripped and another little boy stepped on his leg. He wouldn't let anyone stand him up. I got there (within 15 minutes), he was fine... but if I touched the spot on his leg, he screamed. I decided to head to the ER. The diagnosed him with a tibia fracture - he is in a temporary cast from his foot to his hip, and once we see the Orthopedic doctor he will be in a permanent cast. Right now, he can put NO weight on his leg ... I must carry him everywhere (I am also 6...

Guilt over Son's Premature Birth

Hi ladies, I'm new to this site and in need of an honest opinion about my son's birth. My son was born a few months ago and he was born at 31 weeks and I feel like it was all my fault. When I was about 28 weeks along I went to the bathroom and when I stood up I felt a drip go down my leg. I called my OB and they were booked that day (it was about 3pm) and told me to go to a local hospital OB triage. Community Boards in the Dublin/Powell/surrounding Areas???

Hi Moms, Can you tell me where I can post a flyer for an upcoming event that is geared toward moms with businesses? I've only been able to find libraries (I thought that grocery stores had community boards, but Meijer, Giant Eagle and Kroger do not!) If you have a store-front or something that moms come through, and are willing to talk to me to see about posting this, please let me know! Otherwise, can you think of some other spots in the community that I could try? Thanks!

How Early Is Too Early for a Pregnancy Test to Be Accurate?

New to the mamapedia so I don't know all the abbreviations :) I am currently 15 days past ovulation, and one day late for my period. I haven't been having my typical period symptoms, but have been experiencing light to moderate sporadic cramping, fatigue, dizziness, nausea, and occasional light headaches.
