Kid "Pee'd" on My Couch!
Help! My son pee'd through his diaper and onto our couch. It stinks!!! Is there anything good I can use to get the smell out??
I've tried several things already but none have worked well enough. Thanks!

I don't know if this will work on a dried pee stain. You could try it. Baking soda. Sprinkle a thin layer over the spot and let it stand for at least 30 minutes. Then brush off. I have used this on my bed, yes you read correctly, after my dog has left his mark. There was absolutely no smell. Hope it works.

You might try a pet product containing enzymes for removing urine and oder.

A.,
I feel your pain! There is just nothing worse than that pee smell, it makes you feel like your whole house is dirty.
We had this exact problem once, I used the pet urine products with the enzime in them to eat biolgical material. I put it in our steam cleaner and really went at the stain. It worked!
I hope you get rid of it soon!

Have you tried odor xit. It can be bought online or at Big Bob's used carpets. They say it works great. Or have you tried Natures Miracle. I have tried it and they will send you your money back if you feel it didn't work. But you must make sure it soaks to the peepee. If your barely wetting it then the oder is still there. I had a little dog who when she got upset would pee on the floor. When I opened a business and worked out side my home I felt it was unprofessional for the carpet to smell. I had to clean it 3 times and they did refund part of the money just for one gallon. By the second cleaning it was much better but not gone so that's why I cleaned a third time. You just may not have gotten to all the pee. Good luck.

Sol U Mel from Melaleuca works the best and it is non toxic so your son can be near it and no worries.

I use a product called Totally Toddler. It can be picked up at places like Wal-mart, Meijer and Babies R Us. It comes in a spray bottle and is an enzymatic cleaner similar to oxy-clean. If you have oxy-clean, it should work also. If you have already used a chemical based cleaner, it will take longer for an enzyme based cleaner to work, so you may have to repeat the cleaning process several times. We've had success with using Totally Toddler on many body fluids, vomit, urine, blood. Even kitty urine which is really awful to clean. Good luck and hope you find something that works for you.

There is a product called Oust you can purchase that will work but I am a big fan of natural old fashioned things and the best thing to use is white vinegar. You will have to saturate the area, blot it and let it dry. The urine isn't just in the fabric it is in the filler/stuffing and will have to be allowed to be saturated and dried from there as well. Good luck.
