You might be able to call the local police or fire department to see if you could do a class with them. My husband's a cop, so they always let me do that (not sure if they ever arrange for others).

You may want to check if they offer a "blended learning" course. This type of course allows you to complete most of the work from home on the computer. I just got certified in CPR for infant, child, and adult, along with first aid and AED. I was able to do the classroom component online from home. If you've had any experience with CPR, you'd be able to test out of units. Then, I went to one session to demonstrate skills. The session was supposed to be five hours (long day but not bad considering all the certifications). Since there were so few students in the class, we were done in a couple of hours.
This type of course is great if you don't have the time to go to multiple classes. Plus, you have the flexibility to complete most of the class according to your own schedule.

I took my class in St. Cloud. I'm guessing that location wouldn't be convenient for you, but maybe you can find a red cross location somewhere closer to you that offers this type of "blended learning" option. Even if you had to drive a little, it would be worth it just to finish everything in one short day.

Most of the YMCAs offer CPR and First Aid classes. You'll pay the same rate that you would pay if you took the class through the Red Cross. Community Ed might be another possibility. Good luck with your daycare plans!

Have you looked into community colleges? I'm not sure but I want to say that Century offers this. So, I would think Inver would too.

Check out hospital websites. All hospitals offer these classes and there open to the public. Class times are strange hours to accommidate dr/nursing hours. Hopefully their times would work better for you.

I would call your local fire department, they do the training and I have heard their cost is better than a school.
