Artificial Food Colors - HELP

After reading an article on food colors (red, yellow, blue) I am experimenting with taking my 3 year old off all "yellow, blue and red" colors to see if it will improve his behavior. Does anyone know or have experience with items labled with "artificial color"? I have been avoiding the previously stated colors but just noticed my (large) bag of shredded cheese has "artificial color"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (My kids live on cheese.) I cannot find any concrete answers of what exactly makes up/is in "artificial color". Does anyone know? It's been...

Breastfeeding Help - Milk Supply Low

Hello! I have been breastfeeding my 4 month old daughter all along and just recently I am running out of milk by bedtime. I can tell she is not getting enough to satisfy her because she just pulls away from me and cries and normally she doesn't do that. I am on Reglan which is supposed to help produce more milk and I just started the herb Fenugreek. I will do anything to get more milk. It is making bedtime a nighmare and is so upsetting to me. I have thought about supplementing with formula but I really don't want to.

How Do I Know When His Lactose-intolerance Is Better/gone?

My son was/is lactose-intolerant. I understand a lot of babies have a hard time digesting cow's milk and as a nursing momma, I learned to give up dairy for the first 5 months of my son's life. We thought he had collic, until I eliminated dairy and found the protein from the dairy was eating up his poor intestines and causing painful gas. Anyway, I continue to nurse him (he's 8-months now) and I have introduced cheeses, ice cream, etc. back into my diet and he doesn't seem to react much. I have not tried drinking milk yet but would LOVE...

Diaper Not Lasting All Night

Hi Mamas, My daughter sleeps well and long at night--12 hours until the time change, and at least 11 since! The past few weeks she's been waking between 5:20 and 5:45 (she used to wake at 7) very upset, and I can understand because her diaper is soaked through, and her pjs and blankets are often wet, too. Once I get her changed (diaper & pjs) she has a hard time getting back to sleep. I think she would sleep at least another hour if her diaper could last. She was in Pampers until they started leaking a month ago, and now I have her...
