First Time Breastfeeder!!

I am about 5 weeks away from my expected due date and am having major anxiety about breastfeeding. First of all I am very scared of the whole thing but want to try my hardest because I know it's beneficial in so many ways. My question is, does anyone out there recommend a breast pump for a first time mom that will be going back to work? I have read a lot about the Medela brand and most people agree that it is a good brand but I just read about the Ameda brand and read many great things about it. Any suggestions??

Pumping 101 Please

I am a 28 yo with 2 children, little boy 16months and My little girl is 8 weeks old now. We are doing great with the breast feeding as long as I am home with her, but I don't know when to pump so that when I leave she has food to eat. If anyone has some recomendations please pass my way. I have two different styles of hand pump and seem to have no luck. I might get 1/2oz when I use them and I try to use them after I feed her so that I don't short her of food.

Ameda vs Medela Pump

I bought the Ameda pump and have only been able to pump a maximum of 1.5 oz with it, regardless of when I pump. I'm wondering if the Medela Pump N Style would pump more milk? Has anyone tried both pumps and noticed a difference in output?
