Summer Camp - One Item to Remember to Send?

I'm sending my 9 year old daughter off to sleepaway camp for the first time. She's going with a friend and is very excited. She's had tons of sleepovers, so I'm not terribly worried about homesickness....well not her's anyway :-) Aside from the usual list of things to take, what is the one overlooked item you wish you would have sent? Is there anything else extra special you have done for your child? I'm preparing note cards with photos of us, her dog, etc. to mail in advance as they have mail delivery every day to the kids, and I'll...

My 15 Weeks Old Has Severe Eczema on Face - HELP!!

We are now on formula number 4 per our pediatrician to see if allergy related - from Enfamil Newborn, to Gentleease to Soy and now on a hypoallogenic one. His face seemed to get better on day 2 of the switch but by third day was looking bad as ever - the doc was even worried at last appt that it had become infected. He also has some dry spots on body but nothing as bad as his face and back of head. We are using Tide Free to clean his clothes. We lather his face up with Aquafor at every diaper changes and use 1% hydrocortisone once a week...

Hello moms. My 18 month old boy has chronic eczema since he was 6 months old and have been using a hydrocortisone cream prescribed by our pediatrician. We have been applying this cream, a 2.5% formulation cream since he was an infant with varying degrees of eczema relief. He has needed it on a daily basis and we have been applying it twice a day to his ankles, wrists and behind the knee--the areas that are affected. We also use Aquaphor and pretoleum jelly emollients to relieve his dry skin. We have not asked our pediatrician though...

Acid Mantle (Cream Mixed with Hydrocortisone) - Is It Safe?

I have a 15 month old son who has extremely sensitive skin and had horrible ezcema (sp?) since he was an infant. We found out that it was mostly caused by an allergy to pet dander so we had to give up our pug. Well, we have been using a prescription cream on him called A-Mantle since he was about 6 months old that our Pediatric Allergist prescribed (who is associated with CHOP). This cream is a hydrocortisone mixed with some other type of cream. We use it on him practically every single day (since he still has ezcema). I specifically...
