Baby Einstein Dvd's

I am looking to buy Baby Einstein DVDs and/or CDs /if you are done with yours..and you think they are good/. Also have a question on what experience do you have with any DVDs/CDs for babies, How old the baby has to be to watch them /and for how long/ or shows interest in it. Any kind of advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Coming When Called

okay how do i get my son to come to me when i call him to change his diaper? i have long ago abandoned the changing table/bed idea, he is 19 1/2 months and 32 lbs - the floor works best for us! so i have my little changing "area" in the corner of the livingroom, and my little changing "tub" with my diapers, changing pad, wipes, lotions, etc, and if he sees me down on the floor near that tub, he will NOT come to me. i have to physically go over to him and either lead him (if i'm lucky) or drag/carry him to the changing spot. it would make...

Infant Educational Products (Like Baby Einstein)

I am writing a paper about infant educational programs and products. I wonder, have you ever purchased a product to make your baby smarter or to help your baby learn academic skills? Something like Baby Einstein, Brainy Baby, Baby Prodigy, Your Baby Can Read, etc. What were your motivations? Do you feel like the products "worked," was it worth the money and/or time that you invested? Do you think that a genius can be "created" through such programs?

Baby Einstein Dvd's

I received several Baby Einstein DVD's as shower gifts. A friend recently told me that she read an article that Baby Einstein DVD's are not recommended. She couldn't remember why. Do you have any experience with the DVD's? Thanks!

13 Month Old Temper Tantrums/screaming

I am writing because my husband and I don't know what to do. We have a very sweet 1 year old boy whom we love VERY much, but lately he has been very difficult. He screams at the top of his lungs ALL the time. He's not in pain, he just screams to get what he wants. He also throws himself on the floor (like a temper tantrum) or throws himself around when you try to pick him up. I try to tell him not to scream and say "shhh, that hurts mommy's ears", but I don't know how much he understands at this age. I tell him "No" if he's getting into...

We've Created a BIG Issue at Bed Time

Ladies, it's me again!!! Had the baby Christmas Eve, grandma and grandpa were here, took Brady out of daycare full time (not getting paid on my leave)and Brady went thru a lot of challenges. Grandma (MIL) was no help at all while she was here so to make things easier and happier for Brady we started letting him sleep with us! I'm at home with him full time now and he doesn't even want to nap in his bed. Now when we tell him it's night night time we take him to our bed and turn on a Baby Einstein movie and at first he'd go to sleep. Now he's...

3 Year Old Won't Go to Sleep on His Own.

Hi ladies. I have a son who's three and very seldom will he ever go to sleep in his own room. He gets up and plays for hours and hours. I go in every 15 minutes or so to check on him and he's always up to no good. If I put him next to me so that I can watch him and lie him down in the floor, in 30 minutes he's out. Now, he's got other behavioral problems besides this. He's so violent with other children that he got kicked out of his daycare. I'm getting him help for that very very soon. I'm looking forward to it, in fact. But I'm rambling,...
