Pediatrician Needed in Brookline

I have decided to switch pediatricians and am looking for someone in Brookline who ideally specializes in feeding issues (my 23 mo is in feeding therapy because she is a very poor eater), but in the least is attentive to Mom's and Child's needs/issues--not in a rush to get you out, or ignore half of what you say. We moved here about a year and a half ago and had difficulty getting into practices because we didn't have a newborn. We are expecting #2 the beginning of April so I feel like that opens some doors. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

What can I do next?

We see Dr. Zuckerman 1180 Beacon St.#4A Brookline. ###-###-####. We do not even live in the Brookline area but have always gone to her. My children are 5 and 3 years old. I know as of last year, she was accepting new patients. I referred my niece there who is 15 months now. The other 3 doctors in there, Dr. Reiner and Sailant (sp?) are also very good. Dr. Zuckerman has always addressed my issues and concerns and given me appropriate referrals when needed. When my daughter was 18 months old, I felt that she was not talking as much as my son did at that same age. I expressed my concern to Dr. Zuckerman. She felt that it was still too early to evaluate her speech development, but still happily referred me to the Early Intervention Program. She has been on staff at Franciscan Hospital for Children and with Boston Children's Hospital. I also believe her bedside manner is wonderful. I did interview a few pediatricians (some closer to my home) before picking her and have been very happy with my decision. I allow an hour to get there b/c of where I live and then because of the metered street parking. Good luck. PS: Someone mentioned Dr. Bunnell at Centre Pediatrics. I have spoken to him during non-office hours as my pediatrician's office shared call with this office (Dr. Zuckerman used to work in Centre Pediatrics also)and found him to be nice also.

When we lived in Brookline we used Center Pediatrics at 1 Brookline Place. Dr. Bunnell (spelling??) is who I would recommend. Not sure if he is takig new patients, but I would try. (We saw Dan Heller, who started the practice, but he passed away a few years ago.) I believe Bunnell is the senior ped. now. I remember taking my daughter to a feeding specialist when she was little. I can't remember the name, but I think the referral came from Center Peds at that time. My second thought is to connect with the Early Intervention program for Brookline and have your daughter evaluated. Sometimes these issues are sensory based, and EI has a wealth of knowledge regarding a lot of these issues. The program is State funded and free until children reach the age of 3. Pediatricians can be a wonderful resource, but some issues need to be addressed by other professionals (occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech therapists, etc...) who focus on specific children's issues. I would HIGHLY recommend making that contact. Good luck!

I moved to Brookline about a year ago and have been extremely happy with Centre Pediatrics in Brookline Village. My son is lucky enough to not have any major/special issues but I have found that all the pediatricians and staff are great. We see Dr. Kudley.

Any of the 3 doctors at Franciscan Children's Hospital are great. They are a wonderful team. I don't know that they specialize in eating problems but they certainly give you plenty of time. They are also very open to you interviewing them.
