Car Seat ?

My son is 11 months and weighs about 22 pounds, woould it be okay to turn him around.I know you are supposed to wait until they are one and at least twenty pounds but he is really hating his car seat now and he looks a little silly being that big facing rear.He is crawling and has taken a few steps so he seems strong enough.Any thought would be appreciated.thanks

Booster Seat or Highback Booster?

My 6 yr old DD is 40.2 pds and 47 inches tall...should I keep her in the high back booster (it is a 3 in 1 convertible) that uses a shoulder strap OR should I buy her a regular 24.99 booster base seat? The reason on considering a booster seat is #1 because my 2 girls fight over who will get the pink seat and this way they will both be happy. #2 My 6 yr old wants a booster seat and #3 because if someone needs to ride with me the regular booster base seat is easier to remove and put in since it is only held in while she is strapped in. Rear Facing Car Seat

I just have a doubt after reading a news article about new suggestions for kids in car seats. I know they say to have your child rear-facing until at least 1 year old and 2 if possible. My son has been facing forward for quite a while, though. He's 10 months old and at his last doc. visit at the beginning of February he was 2.5 feet long. If I were to put him rear-facing his feet would be sitting on the head rest. How are you supposed to keep them rear-facing when they're so long? Portable, Convertible Car Seat

We're in the market for a new car seat for our 15 month old daughter who is 29.5 inches tall and weighs just over 20 lbs. I'd like to get a convertible seat so we can keep her rear-facing for a little longer. The only tricky part of this equation is that we don't own a car. We regularly use I Go cars (a car sharing program). So we need a seat that is relatively portable as we generally have to walk at least two blocks to get to the car when we're taking her somewhere.
