Seeking Inexpensive Toddler Bed

As with many other families we have had to cut back due to the economy. Both my husband and I have had to take wage cuts this year. Our youngest is climbing out of her crib and we would like to move her to a toddler bed. I have not had much success finding one in my price range on craigslist or local resale shops. Does anyone have any ideas for where I can find a sturdy but inexpensive toddler bed? While I prefer wood or anything Dora related I am not picky at this point. Thank you!

Bedding Advice for Young Toddler

My young toddler (20 months old) will soon be moving to his new room and out of his crib. We are going to get him a twin bed and I am in the process of thinking about bedding for his new digs! Does anyone have any general advice as far as selecting bedding for such a young guy? For example - I was wondering quilt vs. comforter? Or types of materials maybe? It gets quite cold here, but our house is never freezing. Wondering if he will even sleep under a blanket of any sort as he is all over his crib at night.... Any general advice is...

Need to Vent About My 2 Sick Babies (My Husband and 7 Month Old)

I am having a hard time dealing with my sick husband and my sick 7 month old. We are ALL constantly sick since my son is in daycare. My husband acts like the biggest baby of all. He walks around the house whimpering, wrapped in a blanket, dirtying every cup in the house and refusing to do anything. Meanwhile, my 7 month old is wanting to be held and rocked to sleep. That leaves me, not feeling up to par to deal with the dogs, housework and the two of them. It is hard for me to muster up much compassion for my husband. I want to tell...

Difficulty Finding Table Foods 22Mo. Son Will Eat

Our son is extremely picky with his food. He always has been and is only slowly overcoming a sensitive gag-reflex. I experiment with different foods (PB&J, eggs, soups). Sometimes he'll eat eggs, other times he won't. He likes grape jelly, but not the PB or the bread. When what's in front of him is a no for him, I fall back on jarred baby food and yogurt. Does anyone know of foods that won't take a lot of time to prepare that may work? I have a book, but it involves LOTS of preparation. Any suggestions would be welcome. Thank you!

Can't Get My Daughter to Sleep in Her Crib

My daughter is 17 mnths. With her being in the hospital for so long after she was born and coming home on a apnea monitor machine, I had her sleep in my bed with me. Not to say she didn't have a crib but I wanted to keep a close watch on her. Now, I want her to get into her crib. I try placing her in it couple times and she screams as though someone is trying to hurt her. I have tried placing her when I think she is deep into her sleep but it seems as though she notices no one is next to her she wakes up and starts crying. I tried placing...

14 Month Old Soaking Through Diapers at Night

My 14 month old son has recently (in the past week or 2 weeks) started soaking through his diaper at night. We put him down at 6:15pm and he sleeps until about 6:30am. We use the Costco Size 4 diapers and have never had a problem before. They fit him just fine and certainly aren't too small. For the past week or so, every morning when I go to get him up all his pajamas and sleeper are soaked with pee (in the front near his stomach). I went out yesterday and bought a pack of more expensive diapers hoping we could use them at night and...
