Q Re: Angel Care Sleep Monitors

I am about to get an Angel Care sleep monitor and I've heard mostly great things about it. My only concern is that during the summer months my hubby and I have fans going in our bedroom and sometimes even the A/C. I've heard that the monitor is so sensative that even a fan blowing at the crib can register as baby movement and so defeats the purpose. Has anyone else had this experience and if so how do you deal with the hot summer months? I want to keep my baby cool and I don't want to sweat to death, either! I was thinking perhaps we...

8 1/2 Month Old Turning over During the Night

I'm a working mother of an 8 1/2 month old girl who just this week started turning over in her sleep in the middle of the night. When I asked her pediatrician about my concern about her sleeping on her belly, I was told to flip her back over whenever we see her like this because, although she is already almost 9 months old, she still does run the risk of SIDS. The problem I have with this advice is that when I go in to flip her before I retire to bed at about 11 (she goes to be around 9), it wakes her up and she becomes upset...

I Don't Care About Sleeping Through the Night... Just Go to Sleep 1St Please!

My 7 week old baby only likes to go to sleep on me. I'm so afraid that I am building a bad habit. I can put him in his crib once he is asleep. But, he has to really be asleep. There have been a few occasions where I have been able to put him in his bed as he was drifting off to sleep. At first I was very opposed to the cry it out techniques. Then, I decided to try it out of desparation. I don't want to co-sleep with my baby. I don't think that the cry it out technique is going to work for us because he will cry for over an hour. I...

4 Month Old Flipping over While Sleeping

My 4 month old daughter has been sleeping through the night sine she was 2 months old--we are lucky! This weekend we were going to transition her from her bassinette to her crib. However, the past three nights she has flipped herself onto her stomach and slept in that position. I was a bit freaked out about the stomach sleeping, but she seems to like it. The bigger problem is she doesn't yet know how to flip from her stomach to her back so whenever she wants to change positions she fusses till I fet up and flip her back. The past 3...

Worried About My 3 Month Old

Hi mom's, I am a new mom and i'm new to mamapedia. I hope that you can all help me. My 3 month old will barely eat, unless it is watered down baby food, she will not drink formula. And she will not go to sleep, she lies in her crib and screams and cries until she manages to roll onto her stomach. I continuously roll her back onto her back, as my doctor told me that she is too young to sleep on her tummy. And if anyone but myself holds her, she screams. I cannot put her down for a nap without the neighbours coming over to make sure that...
