3 Year Old-being Quiet and Calm Expectations

So there are kids who are 2, 3 ,4 years old who can sit in a grocery cart calmly and quietly or one's who can sit in church with a book or little toy quietly. Then there are kids who can't! Is it personality or is it not proper parenting? I envy those parents who have young kids and can bring them to events that require them to be patient and still. My 3 1/2 year old cannot! Is it that I am not teaching/parenting him at home or in public to sit calm and quiet? Or is it personality that I can't change? I am not talking about mis...

Baby Shower Gift for Twins

Hello! A friend of mine is having identical twin girls. Her baby shower is this Sunday and I was wondering if anyone had any good ideas on what to get for her. I would love to hear from moms of twins on some things they couldn't have lived without. Thanks for your time!

Strange Hoarding Play Method in 3.5 Year Old

Something about my son has ALWAYS made me crazy and I was hoping that someone could help me understand the behavior so that it could stop annoying me so much. I have a very normal child twin boy who is a little over 3.5. Ever since I can remember his preferred method of playing with toys is to just make a big pile or to put a "collection" of toys in a bag and carry it around. He only plays with toys in the correct way when someone else leads him to do so. Left to his own devices cars go in a bag and get carried around, they don't ever...

San Diego Wild Animal Park or SD Zoo?

If you've been to the wild animal park can you please let me know what to expect. We are taking our 7 year old son who loves animals, but has autism so we need to be fully prepared for the experience. I know he can handle the zoo no problem, but hear there is minimal walking exhibits and you ride a trolly throughout the park. Can you please, in detail, kinda give me a step by step from once you enter the park what there is or what the process is to get to the train. Thank you!

Son with Separation Anxiety from Mommy

So, awhile back, I asked about separation anxiety. My son is going to be 2 in October, and more the majority of his life, he has been a total Mommy's boy. If he knows I am in the house, or anywhere near, he freaks out if anyone else is with him. He is fine - has tons of toys, is clean and dry, and completely happy when I am in the same room. But, for example, tonight, I wanted to take a shower and he and my husband were quiety eating dinner. I left the room and FREAKOUT! It was so bad my husband stormed out of the room when I came...
