Sanitary Pad Comfort for 11 Year Old Girls

I have an 11 year daughter who has friends that are already getting their period. My friends moms are having a difficult time finding pads or tampons that are comfortable for their young daughters. I would like to put togehter a little care package for my daughter so when her time comes she will have the right size pads along with comfort. My question is do any of you have any suggestions for these girls on what to buy? Any advice would be very helpful for my daughter in the future and for me to give to these other moms.

I Just Can Not Afford the Madela Double Electric So What About Playtex?

I purchased the Playtex Nurser System today at Target for $90 because the Madela Swing is $150 (the in style is just out of my league). I get home and before I open it I get this not wanting to commit feeling. So.. I haven't opened the box because I've been online researching and researching. Most women all say Madela or Lanoish if your going to purchase a double electric breast pump. But, in reading reviews I've read that some women have had the same problems with a Madela pump that the Playtex pumps lose points for. So if there are any...

Playtex Drop Ins

Anyone out there use playtex drop ins? How do you feel about them? I am considering trying them for baby #2 thinking that it will be less cleaning of bottles (hubby is not much help!). I will likely use a few different brands of bottles (like dr browns and avent in past.) If you have used them, can you mix the formula and water in the pouch itself or do you have to premix the formula then put it in the pouch? Just curious, thanks!

HELP...I Need Sleep!!

My 7.5 month old baby boy is such a good boy, so happy and easy going... except at night, when he transforms into a wild cihld! If I'm lucky he will sleep for 2 hours during the day, whether it be all at once, or an hour morning nap around 10 am and an hour afternoon nap at 2 pm. He is ready to go to bed around 8 pm. Each night he usually wakes up AT LEAST twice, around 1 am and 4 am, and typically at 4 am he is ready to start his day. (I'm definitely not!) I've tried letting him cry it out but he can now stand up in his crib and his...

My Daughter Is SO SLOW at Drinking Her Bottles, Any Suggestions?

Hi, I have a healthy and happy 5 1/2 month old daughter. She's an absolute joy...except when it comes to taking her bottles! It's like she is never hungry/thirsty, because she wants nothing to do with her bottles - she fusses or screams at them and wriggles all over the place. When she does finally take them, she slowly sucks away at them, wanting to stop after taking only about 3 or 4 oz, and it can take her up to 45 minutes just to do that! She started doing this around 3 months of age - it seems to be because she is distracted and...

Is Thumb-sucking Really That Bad?

i have a 4 month old baby boy, Hunter, very cute, very happy, very easy going. lately he's started to suck on his thumbs. my mom (who helps take care of him) is very against thumb sucking. she's afraid that he'll suck his thumbs until his skin goes raw. my mom is a doctor, so she's seen a lot of weird things, and raw thumbs on children, unfortunately, is one of those things she's seen and couldn't get out of her mind. so my mom and i have been trying to cover up Hunter's hands using mitts and try to introduce the pacifier, but Hunter's...
