Do You Use - Ahem - "Adult Toys?"

Okay, I must be a prude. I was reading an article and it mentioned how many vibrators are sold each year in the US and I was shocked. It was a huge number and I'm thinking that I am the only person without one! I have none of those sort of things. Should I? Do you? If you do, do you use it with your husband, or on your own?

What can I do next?

Yes to all of the above. There is absolutely nothing wrong or negative about enjoying and exploring all facets of sexuality.

We've always used the same philosophy as with food - don't know if you like it until you try it.

Yes we do, use them together (occasionally seperately)

Nope. Have never felt the need to bring toys into our bedroom, and I don't feel the need to do anything on my own. I've been married for nearly 8 years, and my husband is my only partner.

I have a few for use alone and as a couple. We don't use them all the time, but they are kind of fun for a treat. I am shocked that there are so many women responding who don't have any. Mine were either purchased by me at Passion Parties, or by my husband as gifts.

OMG! GET ONE!
My BFF just told me she didn't have one, and I questioned her sanity. I actually bought her one on the spot. God bless Amazon.

I have a few. My favorite is my butt plug. :)
However, I have a love affair with my vibrator, and a vibrating cock ring.

My vibe is just for me. Everything else I use with DH.

I have a funny story, i have my "toy" in the nightstand next to our bed. Well one night at 3 or so in the morning i hear this weird noise and i wake my hubby up and am like do you hear that and he is like are you kididng me....its your toy. LMAO the darn thing must not have been turned off all the way, who knows.
Anyway you are not a prude by any means. There is no right or wrong with toys only what you feel comfortable with.
fun question

your not prudish. i have an assortment (hidden from my child of course). i buy a new one every year or so. if you are interested in getting one start small and simple. or find a friend that is interested in having a passion party, or slumber parties (both are adult toy companies that come to your home) slumber parties is a ladies only one. that way you can be embarassed with your friends in the comfort of your own home.

No, I have never even felt tempted to get one. I guess I feel like our sex life doesn't need "help" currently. Honestly, I can think of all kinds of things to liven it up, that don't involve a toy. I don't feel comfortable with pleasure from an inanimate object, and I'd really rather work harder to find other ways if we are bored. Fortunately, my husband feels the same way.

To each their own, ya know. Unless you really feel like you should, I don't see why you should. If you feel like you need one, then do it. If not, it's not a requirement!!!

We have a little "toy chest" that we use on occasion. Certainly not every time, usually when we have some extra time to enjoy each other without the possibility of a child entering the room, so when they go to grandma's for a sleepover, or an afternoon quickie while they are at a playdate. My husband even included a gift card to our favorite shop in my Christmas stocking (thank goodness it was at the bottom, and wrapped in paper with explicit instructions). They enhance what we already have. We have been together 16 years now, so something out of the norm is usually fun for both of us. I do use one on my own every now and then, but typically we use them more often together.

I do. There are toys out there made four couples to use together. One is the WeVibe... It can be used alone as well. I try to open trav up to new things as I am his first... that and I like to keep it interesting so that we dont just do the same old thing.

I honestly get really insecure going into a shop but I found one I like... (an hour away!!!).. and they get my personallity so it helps. I am shy, but a closet romantic/adventurist in the bedroom. It is a lot easier to go to someone you trust about these things. If you find one place you feel comfortable they can actually be very beneficial to your sex life.

i own one, and some other things. mostly these days i use them with hubby...i can't remember the last time i was feeling frisky and he wasn't around (i prefer the real thing). partially because i am so busy/tired all the time, and partially because he has twice the sexual drive i do (see previous!) so i don't even remember the last time i used them on my own...

I have not used one in years, but I have a few antiquated simple items that I have used with my husband and even before my husband. Sometimes I fantasize about bringing them out, but I don't feel like being bothered.

You should have one if you want one. It's that simple. If you are perfectly satisfied and not interested in doing something different, then stay where you are. It doesn't make you a prude.

People who use them aren't necessarily unhappy with what they have. Some just have active imaginations and trust their partners to help them satisfy their curiosities.

Nope, don't have any.
I worked in a sex store (Lover's Package) so it's not like I am a prude. I have owned them in the past. But, they make my husband uncomfortable, so I haven't even brought it up and neither has he.
I think our sex life is pretty great although not as often as I would like. :)

Nope. No toys.

I've been single a long time since my divorce and I'm pretty sure I would drop dead if my son found a toy. It's not like he snoops about or anything, but he's 17. I just feel better not having any of that stuff in my house.
I didn't have toys when I was married either.

You don't have to anser this, please, but what the heck are butt plugs and ben wah balls? Seriously?

I'd be worried one of the balls would go rolling down the back of my tights or something.

Please no advice. I'm not in the market for kink couture.

Everybody does what they do, but it's not for me.

Just my opinion.

Had one in college and part of first marriage. Honestly don't remember how much it was used, but think it was mostly solo.
20+ years without one, and now I own two. I got one in one of "those" stores for myself. Used it solo a few times, with another (phone sex) a few times. Hosted a Pure Romance party and got another one. Pricier, with more 'functions', but have actually used it only twice. After the first thrill of being on my own after leaving ex and starting back on my necessary meds, my drive had disappeared again. I know its the meds, but I still need them. Just hate what they do to my drive...

Yes, I have a of couple things from my single days, some things I got @ my bachelorette party and some things hubby and I have purchased together. We need to get rid of some - some are pretty old and we only really use a few things. 99% of the time they are used together. He's a visual guy so he loves it!
