RSV And How to Keep Your Baby Safe

This is M. here. My son Gabriel who is almost 16 weeks old was just hospitalized for RSV for 4 days. Pardon my spelling...it stands for Resperatory Sincytial Virus. This is when a young child/baby 2 years and under gets a severe cold or flu and their bronchial airways can't handle it the way an older child or adult can. My advice is to avoid day care as much as possible...I know that's a hard one...handwashing of course (which I believe I was lax on with people in my home), and with Winter babies extra caution should be used. Sometimes...

Reaction to Albuterol

Hello, Mamas! I need some feedback. Our 3 year old son has asthma issues only when he has a respiratory illness. During those time, we have successfully given him his albuterol inhaler as a daily treatment for the wheezing and coughing until the illness subsides and he no longer needs it. Adverse Side Effects of Zyrtec? Flonase? Albuterol?

My son recently started on a regimen of Zyrtec and Flonase daily, and Albuterol as needed. When we started these meds, I posted something on this site about his allergies/meds, and another mom said to be cautious, as Zyrtec caused aggression in her son. Mom, if you're reading this, please respond! I'm wondering exactly what that looked like, or if any of your children experienced any adverse side effects from any of the meds I listed. My son is typically a very rambunctious, rough-and-tumble little boy. He will rough house with...

Can I Give Liquid Albuterol and Benedryl to My 2Month Old?

Obviously, I'd call her doctor if was around or a pharmacist but they're all closed. My daughter was prescribed liquid albuterol for her cough on Friday but its not doing anything for her head congestion and the cough is still around also. I gave her dose of albuterol at 420 I was gonna skip the next dose and give her the benedryl instead. Her doctor did tell me give it to her as needed. Just curious if they have interactions or how I could find out if they are ok to mix for a infant. Thanks!
