Seeking quality, realiable, clean childcare for my grade-school child. My work hours/days are never the same so sometimes I need to have my child delivered/picked up before/after school. Some days I must be at work by 7:00 a.m. and must leave home around 6:00 a.m. because I have a long drive time to work. Other days I don't get off work till 5:00 so can't always arrive home by 6 p.m. On those days, I usually have someone available to pick up my child for me.

What can I do next?

The largest group of working parents need the same childcare that you need. Many Mothers who might have stayed at home with babies or toddlers, return to work and need the before and after care for their still young, but school age children.

I would recommend contacting a local nanny agency for a reliable, mature nanny that suits the needs of your child. This is especially nice if your child needs help with homework, driving to activities or lessons that take place after school. The part-time nanny is the most frequent request that I get. I operate a nanny agency in central Indiana, so your post topic was something that I'm an expert on. My own children are really ready to be at home to relax after a long day at school. They have expressed how their friends who attend "after-care" would so prefer to go home on the bus instead of having such a long day at school. Good luck to you, we working Moms do have a juggling act for balance.

Hello S.,
As a childcare provider, the first place I would look and within the school district. Contact your child's Secretary or principal. You still need to check references.... as one provider might be great for one family and not for another family. Next, you can try www.care.com or www.sittercity.com and post an ad or look at the area providers that are register with this website. Also try to goggle search Childcare in troy Ohio, home day in troy Ohio...try all sorts of versions. Many many home childcare providers as myself have a website. Best of luck in your search for the right provider. I also belong to an Ohio childcare providers group and I will as if any of the ladies live near you! I hope I helped.
