Son Playing with Right Ear a Lot

A couple of weeks ago I noticed my son playing with his right ear a lot, and still does it. I never see him messing with his left ear, only the right. I switched shampoos about the time it started and last week I switched back to the old stuff thinking the new shampoo was irritating him, but today in the bathtub he kept tapping/rubbing his bath toys against his right ear. Sometimes he acts like he's scratching behind it. I have no idea why he's doing this, I had him checked for an infection and the dr. said his ears look great, and I...

Mildew on Bath Toys

My daughter has a bunch of bath toys, including a couple of bath babies that she will just not part with. I have tried drying everything after her bath and her toys still get mildew on them. Is there something that takes mildew off? Should I put them through the dishwasher or washing machine? I am afraid to melt the plastic parts of the babies. Any suggestions would be great.

Any Good Magnet Toys for the 'Fridge? Oh, and Good Bath Toys?

I love you guys...thanks for all of your responses...:) My dd just discovered that the fridge is magnetic! I have been letting her play (supervised, of course) with the plumber's and Nancy B's business magnets, but I think she is ready for something better. I am thinking that the alphabet magnets we used to play with would be choking hazards for a 15 month old? Anything new out that could keep her attention while I (attempt to ) cook a meal? :) Oh, and while I have you, how abut some fun bath toys? Anything a hit with your little ones...

10 Month Old Wants to Stand in the Tub While Getting a Bath

OK, I know that I shouldn't be using a bath seat anymore... especially since she's pulling up, but I don't know what to do. My daughter will pull herself out of the seat and want to stand in the bathtub. I know there are larger tubs for babies that you can buy... can anyone suggest one that has worked well for them? Also, how do you get them to stay sitting or is this a lost cause??? I just don't want her to slip and fall... even if I hold her with one hand I have so much trouble giving her a bath. PLEASE HELP! Bath time is loosing it...

Challenges at Bath Time

I have a 17 mo daughter who went from one day loving her bath (at a yr old) to now crying hysterically every time she gets in the bath. We've always only bathed her twice a week due to eczema patches on shoulders/back, after the change we started bathing her in the kitchen sink again but it requires two of us to do it (one to hold her over the sink during the hair washing phase)and she still cries. When my husband went out of town for a week, I put her in the bath. She still cries hysterically but it needs to get done! I've gotten lots of...
