Flying Across the Country

Hello all. I am a single mom flying across the country.... next week....by myself... with my 1 year old. This will be his 3rd trip already and he has done great! But he is bigger and much busier than the last few times. I would love to hear any travel tips from other "been there, done that" moms! He isn't walking yet (I will use the Ergo carrier to carry him) and he will be sitting on my lap. I would love to hear how you survived the ordeal too!

What Do You Really Need for an Infant?

So it's been 8 years since I last had a baby to care for. I am expecting again and am at a loss for what I really need and trying to prioritize. I have looked at many registries and think they include a lot of frivolous items (wipe warmers ect) So if you could go back in time and know then what you know now, what are your must have items. When I say I have nothing I mean not one baby item at all. I know I'll need a crib, clothes, ect. I also plan on breastfeeding, so I will need a pump for when I return to work and there are so many to...

Spots on My Daughter

Hey everyone, my daugher has spots on her that appeared from nowhere. There are probally ten of them total. Going from memory, there are 3 on each of her sides, 2 or 3 on belly, and 1 just below her underwear line. I have no idea what they are? They are slighly raised and kinda look like pimples, but there dosen't seem to be anything in it. She dosen't itch. No fever. Same ole happy go lucky. And before you guess, no, not chicken pox, she's been vaccinated, and they don't look like chicken pox plus they don't itch. It's not measles or...

Potty Training Advice

My son is just about 17 months old and we are thinking of trying to potty train him (you never know until you try!). Are there books you could recommend? More specifically, how-to books for adults and age-appropriate books for kids on what to do and why we do it. In addition, is their equipment that you liked and didn't like (potty seats, pull-ups, underwear...)? We would appreciate any information that you have for us.
