Child Is Not Crawling

My son is 9.5 months old. He will not crawl and he is not walking yet. He also wants to be held every evening and screams when I put him down. Has anyone gone through this? It seems he wants me to keep him mobile and not do the work himself.I am frustrated and tired.

Having to Hold Baby Constantly

I have a 9 weeks old baby who is fine when I am holding him but the second I set him down he screams out. He cries so hard until I pick him up and he is fine. I am constantly having to tell him to wait until Ethan is asleep. And when my husband tries to help the baby screams just as hard. Please help! I have tried a snugli he doesn't seem to like it. I...

Double Stroller vs Snugli Type Carrier

I am due to have my 4th child on July 3rd and am trying to figure out what form of "transportation" I want to use for the mall or park or walks etc. My youngest is going to be 22 months when this baby is born. I would like to know everyones opinions on which is better - using a Graco front to back double stroller (it would need to accomodate my Graco Snug Ride car seat) or putting the baby in a front style carrier and putting "big" sister in the stroller. My concern with having my 22 mo old walk is that she has hit this phase of wanting...

Brand New 3 Month Old to My Family Daycare---unusual Feeding Schedule

First three days of caring for precious 3 month old baby boy. He is happy, loves stimulation and children being around. LOVES to be held and especially talked to. In all my care of other children of 16 years, I have not had a baby quite like this new little boy. Andy (not child's real name) arrives each morning having already been fed 4-5 ounces of formula. He eats 5 ounces every two hours while in my care. He takes several mini naps and one long nap of 1-2 hours late morning. He has reflux and spits up a lot. I have found burping...

Hot Slings & Other Baby Carriers

HI Gals! I was wondering, does anyone out there use a Hot Sling baby carrier? If so, how do you like it? Or did you try it and not like it? How about other baby carriers? I've used the Baby Bjorn, the Snugli, and the JJ Cole infant carrier and nothing has really made me super happy yet. My 5 mos old has just about out grown her infant carrier (which I can barely carry at this point!) and I need something to carry her in when I'm out and about with both my 2 year old & 5 mos old girls. Thanks!

First Plane Ride for 6 Month Old, Advice?

Hi, we're going on vacation next month, flying with my 6 month old daughter, and I just want to know if anyone has any advice on what to bring/not to bring, tips, etc. Like, I have a travel system, is it too bulky to bring? We'll need the car seat and stroller anyway, shouldn't I just bring it and check it (check the stroller at the gate),or do you know an easier way? Any info is appreciated! UPDATE: I have gotten SO MUCH WONDERFUL advice from you all!! Now I just want a vote, if possible... at the end of your response, could you...

How to Deal with Evening Fussy Time?

I have a 7 week old baby boy. Every night from 6-11pm he is extremely fussy. I can't put him down for a nap until he finally goes to sleep at around 11pm. I have tried to sing to him, hold him, hushing in his ear, gripe water, and letting him cry it out. He doesn't like to be swaddled since he kicks during his fussy time. The only thing that seems to work is putting him in his automatic swinging chair. I just don't want him to rely on the chair since we cannot bring it with us everywhere. Any suggestions?
