Just for Fun -- Most Used Baby Item

I am putting together a basket for my sister in law who is having her second (after a 6 year gap) (due in July) of "my favorite things" after having my 8 month old. Any suggestions would be appreciated, So far, I have a set of books by Helen Oxenburry, a container of Boogie Wipes, a floppy sun hat, a set of light weight receiving blankets (swaddle wraps) and a pinky purse. What other things to include???? Thanks!

Anyone Know of a Sling/babywear Product That Works Beyond 35 Lbs?

I met a woman when my son was an infant with her 3 year old in this great hip sling. I neglected to ask about it because silly me thought, I won't be holding him that much once he's that age. However, we practice AP and my kiddo is definitely a cuddler. He's almost 2 and 30lbs and my back and hip are taking a beating. Does anyone know of a sling type of carrier that will work beyond the 35lb mark and doesn't cost an arm and a leg? I don't want a big backpack of a thing, but I know there's got to be some babywearers out there that might...

Baby Carrier Recommendations?

I just found out that I'm expecting my third baby. I'm wanting to get a carrier that I really love, this time. I'm looking for something that is VERY comfortable, I can put on/take off quickly, and is versatile for all sizes of babies. (Although I mostly expect to use it for the new baby, I may also occasionally want to carry my toddler in it.) Based on the reviews I've read, I think I have it narrowed to the Ergo, Beco Butterfly 2, Beco Gemini, or Boba 3g. I have heard the most positive reviews for the Ergo, but I'm concerned that it...

Recommendations on Baby Carriers?

I'm just about due to have my second (2 weeks!) and I'm looking for a baby carrier. With my first I had the Baby Bjorn and hated it. I'm very short-waisted and petite and his head was up in my face and his legs were in the way of me walking. So, not using it for number 2. I'm wondering if there are any ladies out there who are like me who have used a carrier successfully. I've been looking at the Ergo and the Beco but I'm also open to slings, too. I just thought I'd ask you wonderful women what you liked and didn't like. THANKS!!
