Most Useful New Infant Item You had...please share...especially Preemie Parents

So my SIL gave birth VERY early last week..at 30.5 weeks gestation. My niece weighed in at 2 lbs, 1 oz. She has done miraculously..no vent the whole time, no emergencies and while she has not gained any weight yet, she is maintaining her birth weight at this point. She looks wonderful...even a full head of hair! I thought fat and hair grew last?? She is a tiny little spectacular miracle! She will be needing some selections of preemie clothes, and other such things. But I am wondering what were the most useful things you had for Preemies...

When Do You Stop Swaddling Your Baby?

Dear Mamas, My son is three months old and he's recently discovered his thumb. I want to encourage this behavior and also transition him away from swaddling so I've been partially swaddling him keeping one arm out. The thing about this method is that he wakes up when he realizes he's no longer sucking his thumb. I want to tuck his arm back and fully swaddle him since he still startles easily. Any suggestions? When did you stop swaddling and how? Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

We've been using the Miracle blanket exclusively for the last week or so and it is working fine, but I'm interested to know if others have had success with the Halo Sleepsack swaddle blanket. It looks like it would be much easier to swaddle a little one in than the Miracle Blanket but I'm wondering if it really holds their...
