Unmotivated 16 Year Old

My 16 year old daughter is very smart, but is very unmotivated to complete her school work, therefor seems to be running a C average in almost everything. I speak to her teachers who say she 'drifts off' in class. She often gets zeros for homework she 'does not feel like doing'. I realize a C average is not the end of the world, but I know she is capable of more and would like her to be able to go to college. I have taken away privliges, offered incentives, etc, and she says she will do better, and may for a very short time, then its back...

Hair Dye During Pregnancy

I am about 7 weeks pregnant and am interested if anyone dyed their hair during pregnancy. I have done a little research and it seems the information is fairly vague. I spoke with my ob and she said the decision was up to me. I am very gray and although I don't want to be vain, I do want to at least look okay, especially when I am feeling pretty rough these days. Baby Vs. Pet

Hello moms. So I'm new here but thought I'd jump right into the pit by asking a question that is driving me mad! My husband desperately wants a puppy. While I'm not necessarily opposed he also is wanting to give our son a little brother or sister. Quiting Smoking While Pregnant

My sister is 8 weeks pregnant and is having the most difficult time quiting smoking. Her OB simply told her they don't prescriptions to pregnant Mom's (basically, you're on your own and yes, she did switch OB's after that appointment). I don't smoke, so I don't understand the addiction part. But I do know she really wants to quit. She was able to stop cold turkey with her first, but that's not working this time. Does any one have any ideas that might help her?
