Pain in My Foot

Hello, I am at 33 weeks with twins. Lately I have either a sharp, immobilizing pain in my right heel or it is numb. Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks, R.

Bunion Surgery Left Me with "Stiff Toe"

Hi Ladies! I had bunion surgery about 61/2 weeks ago. I was very good about "working" my toe to avoid stiff toe, but the Dr. seems to think my range of motion isn't good enough. Unfortunately, it really impacts the way I walk (limp!) and is still sore. I'm trying to avoid the Physical Therapy my Dr. recommended (who has time 3x a week for 3 weeks!)So, I was wondering if anyone had a similar problem & knew any excercises I could do? I have been going in the pool often in the last week, but don't know how to loosen it up! Any help would be...

Anyone Have Neuropathy?

Hi Moms, If you look at my past history of questions you will see that I've been a medical mystery, lol..... Long story short after seeing a bunch of different doctors, MRIs, CT scans, I was finally sent to a neurologist yesterday.... He performed the nerve conduction tests on me (the shock one and needle one)... I have been having numbness and tingling in my right hand and right leg/foot..... The nerve test came back fine in my hand but not in my leg/foot.....He "thinks" it could the early stages of neuropathy... I have to go back in 10...

Difference Between Orthopedist and Podiatrist?

My daughter has an overlapping second toe that is causing her discomfort. The pediatrician finally sent us to see a podiatrist. We have seen two podiatrist so far and with little luck. The first one put her in a boot to relieve her from pain and wanted to check her hips if the problem persist. As to why I have no clue. The x-rays came back with no breaks, fractures, tumors, or cyst. And normal bone growth. And the second one said to give her tylenol. There was nothing else they could do for her. I do not want to drug my child. And I can not...

Need a Remedy for Toenail Fungus

Does anyone have a home remedy or the name of a prescription medicine for a toenail fungus that has been successful? My toenail has come off twice and now is looking dark and ugly. I went to the Dr. and he advised against a prescription at the time saying it had side effects. Will be going back in a few weeks but was wondering if anyone else has had any success with this problem.

How to Get Rid of a Heel Spur

I have now had a heel spur for quite some time and it HURTS. Especially when I have been sitting or lying down for a while then go to get up. It will hurt all the way up to my ankle unless I do a lot of flexing my foot before getting up. That at least makes it bareable until I've walked on it for a little while and some of the pain goes away. I have added a dr scholls shoe pad along with a rubbery heel pad I found and I also found some arch supports to wear while barefoot or with shoes that helps with my heel but actually makes my arch...

What Did I Do to My Ankle?

Hi Moms, Three days ago my foot slipped out of my shoe and I stepped on the side of it turning my foot. It felt a little wierd and now still after 3 days it hurts to walk. It is only on the one leg and it's on my inner calf close to my ankle. Did I sprain it? When will it go back to normal and what can I do. It's bothersome, not excrusiating pain but I definetly feel it and don't like it one bit! Thanks for your help with this unsexy question.

Stubbed My Toe!!!!

Everyone does it and usually it's only hard enough to make you hold back and expletive...and hold your foot. I stubbed my toe while hurrying out of a room...against a floor door stop. It hurt like no other stubbed toe experience prior. Within seconds I couldn't put weight on my foot. It began to swell and stiffen up...well I'm not able to move it because it hurts so much. This morning that toe and the one next to it are swollen along with part of the top of my foot. I am not able to put walk on it only hobble along on my heel. ...

2 Y/o with Wart on Hand

My 2 year old daughter has what appears to be a wart on her hand, right in the crease where her ring finger meets her palm. It is fairly large, she picks at it occasionally but it doesn't otherwise seem to be bothering her. I am hesitant to ask to have it removed because not only would that be probably traumatic, but it seems like it would be a very difficult location to keep bandaged and cleaned afterwards. The over-the-counter wart creams all seem to contain salicylic acid, which my older daughter is highly allergic to, so I am hesitant...
