I was 2-3 cm dilated, with 3 false starts (regular contractions), for 2 weeks! Drink lots of water, and rest whenever you can. The baby will be here soon!

My first one took a LONG time to get here and when I was prego w/ #2 and #3 they said it would be faster. Don't panic though, because it's not that fast. Labor with #2 for me was faster than my first but I still had a few hours to spare when I got to the hospital. Don't worry, you'll make it!!!! Congrats!!!!!

Induced both times with my boys. Both took a very long keep your time and I was late with both. Everyone is so different. I remember those feelings with the second. It was much harder because I was also chasing a just 2 year old at the time. Rest, walk and TRY to enjoy the quiet. It won't be long!

i had to be induced with all 3, so they dont always exactly fall out! i will tell you that my 2nd and 3rd were both much shorter labors than my first. however, if you are feeling crampy, it wouldnt hurt to let the doc check you out, might be an early sign, which is nice, especially since you are starting to dilate. best of luck.

My 2nd did come much faster, but there was still plenty of time to get to the hospital and labor there for a couple of hours. Once I started feeling light contractions, they got worse much faster and came closer together much faster....but there was still no concern about the baby coming too fast to make it to the hospital. If you're really worried, make sure that you're prepared. That's all you can do. Have your bag packed and ready to go. Have a good plan about who is going to take care of your first child. Make sure they understand that they're on call from now on.....they may be called at noon or at 2am...you never know when you're going to have to go to the hospital.
In my experience, labor, delivery, and recovery were much much easier with the 2nd. I was very nervous because I had a bad labor with the first, but I really shouldn't have been because the 2nd went very smoothly....just like it's supposed to go. :-)
Good luck. Relax now and rest before you have a newborn to care for.
