5 Year Old in Trouble!

Hi Moms, I am writing again regarding my daughter who is five and started K5 this year. If you read the previous post this is a continuance of that one. My daughter is not doing any better in K5. I spoke to another mom who is our neighbor and has a child in the same class and this mother has been in the classroom more than once and shared with me last weekend that she observed my daughter having difficulties in class. She said my daughter seemed very distracted, not focused, not interacting much with the other kids, being called down for...

What About Goat's Milk?

My daughter is 8 months old. She now is breastfed and also eats babyfood and baby cereal, which I make with formula. Occasionally I give her a bottle if we're going out somewhere. When she was younger she was cow-milk-protein sensitive, but I've heard that Goat's milk protein is much closer to human milk protein. I know doctors don't recommend cow milk for infants younger than 1 year because their digestive systems can't quite handle the cow-milk proteins. So here's my question: Is there any reason not to give my daughter goat's milk...

My 5 Year Old Has Excema

My 5 year old daughter has excema. When she was an infant, it was so bad that she has scratches all over her face. She was reffered to a determatologist. He gave me some cream w/a prescription in it. This does not help her at all. We have controlled the dryness on her scalp by using T-gel ut her skin is still very dry. Last time we couldn't control the dryness, the doctor put her on steriods for 7 days. I hate the fact that the only way to help her skin is to put her on steriods. I have heard lots of bad thing about steriods. The doctor...

6-Year Old Is a Picky Eater!!!!

I'm very frustrated with my 6 year old son who ONLY wants to eat junk. It drives me nuts. He has such a limited menu of food that he will eat. It is very frustrating. Today, while he was at school, the teacher expressed to me that my son is "fussy" when it comes to food. Today was Dr. Seuss day at school and she served "green eggs and ham." She also had biscuits with jelly, some fruit, etc. He wouldn't eat anything. He told me he's not used to eating at school. UGH. I'm frustrated because I don't know how to help him. He will not eat...
