Hi!
So we have decided to name our baby girl Karli. Im not completely sold on a middle name yet. Our first daughter's middle name is Lynn, which is my sisters middle name. I also have another sister and her middle name is Ann, which we should probably name her Karli Ann right? I like it, my husband isnt sold. What else sounds good with Karli? P.S- I want Karli to end in a "I" because our last name ends with "Y" and I dont want her first and last name to end in "Y" . I know, Im weird.

Ok, I forgot to mention, my hubands mother and sisters middle name is Lynn, thats also why we went with it. Now it sounds really bad if I left my other sister out. :(

What can I do next?

My friend is dutch. She named her girl Analiece. I think it's beautiful. It sounds good with Karli and you could still call her Karli Ann
If he doesnt like it, look for a women on his side of the family to honor. What about his mom, grandmother, sisters?

What is your first name? My son's middle name is my husband's first name, and my daughter's is mine.

If you made a big deal about using your sister's middle name, than you should probably use Ann, otherwise whatever you want.

What about Karli Annette, still Ann like your sister yet a little twist to make it your daughter's too. Or how about Karli Leanne, L for one sister and Ann for the other sister. :)

I just wanted to let you know that my sister insisted she was going to use my middle name as her second daughter's middle name. She didn't. I wasn't offended. Just throwing this out there....why not ask your sister what middle name she likes for your baby and add that into the possibilities?

Karli Jo?
Karli Faith?
Karli Wynne?
Karli Rose?

Karli Shyann works for me. Auntie does not need to feel left out with this name since the name Ann is embedded in this variant spelling of Cheyenne.

The meanings of the name also seem to blend. Karli is a feminine form of Charles, which is considered a royal name but means 'free man'. I think of royals and free people as ones who travel and speak more than one language. The name Shyann refers to someone who speaks an alien (or foreign) language. It could be this little one is destined to travel!

Of course, there are many names with Ann embeded, Brianna, Diann or Dianna, Roxann, etc.

Let us know what you choose.

Karli Ann sounds sweet. And if you named your first after your one sister seems logical. Also tell hubby how often are you even going to use her middle name. I only say my sons when he is in trouble FIRST MIDDLE and LAST (lol)

I like Karli Ann...

What is your mom's middle name, does that work, does your hubby have any more sisters, do you?

I have 3 sisters, and sort of name my son after one of them... My son's name is Kendall Steven, which my sister's name is Kendra, my father's name is Steven Kenneth, his dad is Kenneth Benny... My point is I think a name should have meaning, all my kids have meaning to their name. My daughter has both my husband and my middle name; "LeKay", my youngest son has my husband's dad middle name, and our middle son has my dad's middle name... But that's just important to me...

One day you'll look back at this moment and know you picked the right name and nothing else would have fit...

I like Karli Ann, but since my name is S. I like Karli S. that was suggested too. :-) Or Karli Anna better. I will say my mother claimed I was named after a Grandmother whose name was Anna, and yet I had anne on the end of S. and it's always bothered me that it wasn't the 'right' spelling being 'Anna' so if after the sister it should be after the sister's name or not at all maybe. Just my thinking on this and maybe not what your sister would think at all. What about 3 names? Some people do that and it could be Karli Ann Grace or Joy or Marie or whatever name you liked? I think Karli Ann Marie sounds fine together.

This is too funny, I feel like this was me writing your post! If I were to have another girl I want to name her Karli. Always loved that name but it didn't fly with my husband for my first daughter, so I always said the next one will be Karli. I have also thought of using Ann (my sister and mom's middle name) or Lynn (my middle name) for the middle name. Weird!!! My final decision, for me at least, is Karli Rae. Rae is my husband mother's middle name. Don't worry, I don't know you and don't plan on getting pg any time soon so you can use it. haha!
Now if your other kids are Malori and Meyer that would be crazy!
Best of luck to you!
