My children's middle names are tributes to family members or friends. I think it's a nice story to be able to tell them about where their name came from and who they're named after.

Also, a friend of mine combined her parents' first names to make a unique middle name. Also, the mother's maiden name is a popular suggestion too. Good luck!

For obvious reasons, I like elise or E.. : ) I do think it would flow well.

Depending on what you are going for Brianna Lynn sounds like a CW star to me (not necessarily a bad thing). Brianna Rose sounds sort of "Flowers in the Attic"-y.

I also like Denise, Faye (still sounds like a CW star), and Joy.

I like Brianna! You could use layne to honor elayne, Betsey is a nickname for Elizabeth, so you could use elizabeth. You could also combine some of them..Helene (Helen and elayne), Carmen (Carmella and Helen), Lindsey (Linda and betsey). I also like Rae, grace, Nicole, Jane, jade, may, peyton, Quinn. Congrats, let us know what you decide!

I like Rose the best of the three you mentioned, but actually think all three go well with Brianna. I definitely think a one syllable name is good, since the first name is longer.

Are there any maiden names you like? My middle name is my paternal grandmother's maiden name, my sister got our material grandmother's maiden name. They are short and nice and we both love the history.

My first thought was Michelle, but I see that has already been suggested. I like what TJ had to offer, there are a lot of really good solutions in that post :)

I really like family names for middle names. Do you have any names in your family that would sound good? Grandma's or great grandma's name?

Otherwise, I like Rose, and
Brianna Mae
Brianna Paige
Brianna Kate

Good luck!

To me, a middle name is a spot to honor someone you love. People will almost never hear her middle name ... maybe on her wedding annoucement, but that's about it. So the point of a middle name to me isn't to be a name you love.

I would choose a family name (or even a friends' name) of someone you wish to honor. In the South, it's common to give a child the mother's maiden name as a middle name as well ... something else to consider.

Personally, I think Brianna Elayne goes together BEAUTIFULLY, but again, I think you could choose just about any name that's meaningful to you for a middle name.

I like Brianna Rose, Brianna Lynn or Brianna Elayne. Of course, not knowing what your last name is makes it a bit tricky. I would pronounce, the first middle and last name and make sure the initials look o.k. too. Congrats on being a Mom to a baby girl-How fun!

I read Brianna and Lynn symply followed I just think it flows well together.
Brianna Joy - Brianna Renee - Brianna Kay

Those work to - but Brianna Lynn just works, for me anyhow.

Brianna isn't exactly unique either! All the name you have picked, both first and middle are nice. I do not like Nicole at all. Especially now since it's synonymous with Snookie!

Elayne and Helen come from the same route -- the Greek name Helen. You could go with any variant of that name and honor them both: Elin, Elena, Eleni, Helena, Helene....

Another nice option is a virtue name. They come in "standard flavors" (Grace, Faith, Hope) and more "offbeat flavors" (Verity, Amity, Patience, Temperance), but really, any word that has a lot of meaning for you would be wonderful.

I've also known of parents using the place where they met, or the place where they honeymooned, as a middle name.
