I recently had my eyelashes and eyebrows tinted for the 1st time, and I'm hooked! I love the way it looks, but I can't afford to do it every month at a salon. Has anyone tried to do it themselves? I thought about getting an empty mascara container and putting a hair dye into it to tint my lashes and brows. Has anyone ever tried this?
I tried the DIY kit at Sally's Beauty Supply. It was messy!!! I didn't get it in my eyes at all, but the solution is like water and stained my countertops. I'm going to try a different route to dyeing them. Thanks everyone!!!!!!!!!!!
I read somewhere that this can be very dangerous. I think I'd call my doctor or pharmacist with that question first.
when i went threw beauty school we only charged like 3 to 5 dollars to tint your brows or lashes. so if you have a beauty college any were near you try going there. the price is usually 1/2 or at least a few dollars cheaper. always ask for a girl that has almost graduated. this way you know that she has at least done the service before.
I would not suggest doing that. You could cause blindness and hair dyes are not certified for use near the eye area. You may also end up with dark circles that do not fade for several days.

A friend of mine is going to fort worth beauty school and she does it for 5-10 dollars. She also said that you can find the die at Sally's that is for eye lashes and eyebrows, but sh said that you should have someone else do it bc you don't want to get it in your eyes.
