Anyone Follow Attachment Parenting?

We practice Attachment Parenting with our 1 year old daughter, and although we are still big supporters of it, there are some situations that seem to conflict with it. For one thing, our daughter co-sleeps with us and wakes up several times a night and needs to be taken out of bed and held until she falls asleep. And she is still needing a bottle 1 to 2 times a night. Everyone we ask says to let her cry it out, but with attachment parenting, that is not something we're comfortable doing. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Self Soothing Help

My son is just turning 6months this week. He's been having a very hard time sleeping at night for the past 2 months - I just took away his pacifier because he was waking every 20-40 minutes, when it would fall out, throughout the night. I feel horrible for taking it away, but my peditrician says in the long run it is better to do so now. He seems much better at naps without it, but nighttime is just awful (its only been 2 nights). I've resorted to patting his tushy and shhhing to help him get to sleep as he just doesn't seem to be able...

My 5 Year Old Has Excema

My 5 year old daughter has excema. When she was an infant, it was so bad that she has scratches all over her face. She was reffered to a determatologist. He gave me some cream w/a prescription in it. This does not help her at all. We have controlled the dryness on her scalp by using T-gel ut her skin is still very dry. Last time we couldn't control the dryness, the doctor put her on steriods for 7 days. I hate the fact that the only way to help her skin is to put her on steriods. I have heard lots of bad thing about steriods. The doctor...

6-Year Old Is a Picky Eater!!!!

I'm very frustrated with my 6 year old son who ONLY wants to eat junk. It drives me nuts. He has such a limited menu of food that he will eat. It is very frustrating. Today, while he was at school, the teacher expressed to me that my son is "fussy" when it comes to food. Today was Dr. Seuss day at school and she served "green eggs and ham." She also had biscuits with jelly, some fruit, etc. He wouldn't eat anything. He told me he's not used to eating at school. UGH. I'm frustrated because I don't know how to help him. He will not eat...
