Hi there! I'm looking for an awesome place to take outdoor pictures for our family. I'm wanting something with trees to get the leaves changing and possibly a little pond or bridge. Is there something around the Elgin/Algonquin/Crystal Lake area that you would recommend? Thanks!

What can I do next?

Veteran's Acres in Crystal Lake, has a bridge, water, beautiful trees and a few months ago had a huge tree that had fallen and was on it's side (close to the bridge) that I took my kids by and photographed because it made an awesome backdrop. Otherwise, Morton Arboretum?

Perhaps Lords Park in Elgin would be a good location...There is a lovely bridge nestled between two lagoons near the pavilion...Beautiful when the fall colors arein full effect...!

Veterans Acres Park in Crystal Lake is beautiful. It also has a pond and a small bridge.

We go hiking there all the time and take the little ones to run around or play at the playground.

You won't be disappointed.
